모듬북 활동이 세로토닌드럼클럽 중학생들의 정서와 학교생활 적응에 미치는 영향

국문 초록 (Abstract)

세로토닌드럼클럽은 예술교육 프로그램의 일환으로 모듬북을 통한 청소년 정서 순화와 인성교육을 목적으로 2007년 경상북도 영주시 영광중학교에서 처음 시작되었다. 규칙적인 리듬운동으로 ‘세로토닌’ 호르몬 분비를 활성화한다는 정신과전문의 이시형 박사의 이론을 바탕으로 전국 중학교로 확산되어 현재 200개 중학교, 3,000여명이 활동 중이다. 본 연구는 2018~2019년, 2021~2022년, 총 4년에 걸쳐 모듬북 활동에 참여하는 세로토닌드럼클럽 중학생들 중 사전-사후 검사에 참여한 총 3,018명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 모듬북 활동이 중학생들의 긍정 정서 향상, 부정 정서 감소, 교우관계 개선, 학교생활 적응에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 나아가 지속적이고 체계적인 청소년 교육정책의 일환으로서의 시사점을 제언하였다.

Serotonin Drum Club was first launched at Yeonggwang Middle School in Yeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do in 2007 for the purpose of emotional purification and personality education of teenagers through assorted drums as part of an art education program. Based on Dr. Lee Si-hyung’s theory that regular rhythmic exercise activates the secretion of “serotonin” hormones, it has spread to middle schools across the country, and about 3,000 people in 200 middle schools are currently active. This study was conducted on a total of 3,018 middle school students who participated in pre- and post-testing among Serotonin Drum Club middle school students, which are a combination of drum activities, from 2018 to 2019, 2021 to 2022. Modumbook activities were found to have an effect on improving positive emotions, reducing negative emotions, improving friendships, and adapting to school life, and suggested implications as part of continuous and systematic youth education policies.
