<한국어기초사전>의 화용 정보 분석 = An Analysis of Pragmatic Information in the <Basic Korean Dictionary>

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 한국어 학습자를 위한 대표적인 사전인 <한국어기초사전>에 포함된 화용 정보를 분석하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 학습 사전은 학습자가 의사소통에 필요한 정보를 제공해야 하며, 화용 정보는 어휘의 실제적 사용 상황, 맥락에 관한 정보로서 중요한 역할을 한다. 본 연구에서는 <한국어기초사전>에 제시된 화용 정보가 정확하고 충실하게 제공되고 있는지 살펴보았다.
이를 위해 화용 정보를 발화 상황과 사회문화적 상황으로 구분하여 사전에 나타나는 정보를 유형별로 체계화하였다. 발화 상황 정보는 화자, 청자, 발화 태도, 담화 기능 등을 포함하며, 사회적 상황 정보는 시간, 공간적 요인 등을 다룬다. 분석 결과, <한국어기초사전>에 제시된 화용 정보는 전반적으로 충실하게 제공되고 있었으나, 일부 항목에서는 정보의 일관성이나 구체성 면에서 개선이 필요하다는 점을 확인하였다. 또한 본고에서는 <한국어기초사전>이 제시하고 있는 화용 정보 외에도 한국어 학습자에게 필요한 화용 정보를 제안하였다.

This study aims to analyze the pragmatic information contained in the , a representative dictionary for Korean language learners. Learner’s dictionaries must provide the information necessary for effective communication, and pragmatic information plays a crucial role as it provides insight into the actual usage and contextual aspects of vocabulary. This research examines whether the pragmatic information presented in the is accurate and comprehensive.
To achieve this, pragmatic information was categorized into two types: situational information and sociocultural information. Situational information includes details about the speaker, listener, speaker's attitude, and discourse functions, while sociocultural information addresses factors such as time and space. The analysis revealed that, while the pragmatic information provided in the is generally adequate, certain areas require improvement in terms of consistency and specificity. Furthermore, this study suggests additional pragmatic information that could benefit Korean language learners beyond what is currently provided in the dictionary.
