The visa-free entry system allows you to visit foreign countries without a visa. The fact that there are many countries that can enter the country means that the country's diplomatic and economic power is excellent. It can be said that Korea has excellent passport power. However, paradoxically, such excellence can lead to domestic social problems due to its wide openness to migrants.
In this study, considering these aspects, the positive and negative effects of the visa-free entry system were examined. And by examining the cases of foreign countries, it was intended to suggest improvement measures in the desired direction.
As a result of the study, it was confirmed that the visa-free entry system has both positive and negative effects. Improvement measures were sought to increase the positive effect while reducing the negative effect. It was proposed to introduce the electronic travel permit system and review visa-free entry for countries with high rates of illegal stay and foreign crimes.
