도시설계를 위한 어린이 놀이네트워크의 이론적 고찰 = Theoretical Study of Children's Play-Network for Urban Design

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

With increasing social mobility, the play-environment relies on private contracts rather than public supply. Thesecurity of children’s play activities in urban public spaces and the voluntary experience of the city in facilitating children’s playenvironment are questioned. To solve this problem, the existing urban design method of uniformly supplying spaces defined forchildren needs to be supplemented with a method that collectively considers various facilities and the spaces connecting them.
Herein, the play environment formation method is defined as a play-network. Based on this awareness, this paper intends topresent an insight into the desirable structure of the children's play environment through literature review of theories andresearch cases on the concept, formation process, and typology of children's 'play-network'. In this study, the concept of aplay-network and its formation process are examined as divided into social play-network and spatial play-network. In the future,social play-networks need to be studied the character of groups that leads participation through play, and spatial play-networkswill be meaningful in spatial design research by applying children's sensorimotor skills and play-affordance
