This study used the data by parents of three kindergartens and three day care centers in Seoul, Incheon, Gyunggi Province. Among the data by four hundred parents, the data by insincere respondents were excluded. The way carried out by 189 parents in the data is as follows.
First, Frequency Analysis and Descriptives were carried out to find out the general characters of the subjects of this survey.
Second, One way Anova-a technique used to compare means of two or more samples-was carried out to compare means of the institutions.
Third, Crosstabulation Analysis (p) was carried out to compare means of the groups in case of non-parametric method in categorical variable.
All empirical analyses were verified within significance level p<.05 and statistical process was carried out by SPSSWIN 12.0.
The questionnaire as a measure tool about parents' satisfaction and demand with infant school was used. It was made by the researcher about them and composed of 31 items.
In sum, first, satisfaction with national or public kindergarten and national or public day care center was found great compared to that with private kindergarten and private day care center. Especially, satisfaction with private day care center was found little. It indicates indirectly that the previous analysis which showed the high frequency of transfer with the children to go to the private institutions is related to this.
Second, the most important motive to choose the infant school for their children to go to is related to curriculum, and teacher or principal as well.
Third, the most preferential matter to be improved according to the type of the infant school was educational expenses. It was rated so by most parents and especially remarkable among the parents who were supported by government aid at the infant school for their children to go to. The private kindergarten was most preferred as the infant school parents want in case of equal government aid. It indicates that this is related to the great satisfaction with curriculum, teacher, principal, facilities and equipment. Summing up, various studies that can make and generalize more objective and verified criterion must be carried out together in future.
