듀이의 관계적 민주주의와 성장으로서의 교육 = Dewey’s Relational Democracy and Education as Growth

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문의 주된 목적은 존 듀이(J. Dewey)의 민주주의의 가능성과 현재성을 리처드 로티(R. Rorty)와 힐러리 퍼트남(H. Purtam)의 논의를 통해 드러낸 후, 듀이의 민주주의에 대한 그들의 해석이 각자의 철학적 관점 때문에 듀이가 주창한 관계의 형이상학으로서의 민주주의와 교육의 유기적 논의를 놓치고 있다는 점을 밝히는 데 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The main purpose of this paper is to show the viability of John Dewey’s democracy by comparing it with Richard Rorty and Hillary Putnam’s interpretations. Rorty and Putnam share Dewey’s philosophical perspective in defending Dewey’s democracy. However, due to their respective philosophical perspectives, their interpretations miss the organic discussion of democracy and education as a metaphysics of relationships advocated by Dewey.
