Objective: The purpose of this study was to verify the interrater reliability of Korea Child version of the Mini-Mental Statute Examination(MMSE-KC). Methods: The 34 subjects participated in the study. They were 3∼8 years old and were attending the day care center or kindergarden. The 2 researchers visited the day care center or kindergarden, and evaluated the children. Result: The interrater reliability of items on MMSE-KC were orientation(person) r=.905, orientation(place) r=.972, orientation(time) r=.991, registration(sensory perception) r=1.000, attention and concentration(forward) r=1.000, attention and concentration (backward) r=1.000, calculation r=.993, recall r=1.000, language r=.992, total r=.999. The interrater reliability of MMSE-KC was highly verified. Conclusion: Through this study, we demonstrated that the MMSE-KC is a high interrater reliability screening tool. So, we considered that the MMSE-KC can be a useful screening tool for evaluating the cognitive function of children and appling appropriate intervention.
