Nowadays in reality, we are under the situation where even the conduct of depravity of killing ascendants caused by worldly desire and self-interest of descendants who want to get early inheritance giving up filial piety of human being is occurring and thus home ethics is destructed. There may be various compounded causes for the background of such inhumane accidents, but it is attributed to the fact that personality teaching is not properly done at home, school and society and piety has been regarded as outdated consciousness of ethics or commonplace teaching manual for moral without internalizing and systematizing the education of piety for actual practices despite desperate need for the education on piety. On this occasion, the education of piety through 『Sa-ja-so-hak (Four Character Teaching Text)』 will be more effective than anything else as it teaches on how to get to know true piety and how to practise piety. 『Sa-ja-so-hak (Four Character Teaching Text)』is a textbook for children`s education which is comprised of the compilation of four-character phrases selected for essential educational needs for children, and the contents are about the items of virtues needed for basic human relationship such as piety to parents, brotherly/sisterly love among brothers/sisters, respect to teachers, duty among friends and self-training for moral. From this aspect 『Sa-ja-so-hak (Four Character Teaching Text)』 is a good textbook for easy personality education and piety education at home and school. If we always meditate on our attitude toward piety to patents utilizing 『Sa-ja-so-hak (Four Character Teaching Text)』, parents will come to dearly love their children, children will offer piety to their parents and thus home will become cheerful and happy, which will contribute to take off to bright and healthy society and solid nation with full of hope.
