With the development of artificial intelligence technology, the spread of AI speakers has been active. Recently, display-coupled AI speakers have been on the market to offer more diverse services. Features such as cooking recipes, finance, and shopping, which are combined with displays and limited in providing information only by voice, are now available through AI speakers. Various kinds of information are provided through AI speakers, and the importance of information transmission systems is increasing. In particular, in the use environment of the AI speaker used at a fixed distance, it is important to provide information via a display and to effectively transmit visual information at a long distance. Because it's not carried, but used at a certain distance, the feature of keeping a close eye on the screen is that the way information is transmitted may vary depending on whether the user can easily recognize the information. Therefore, an information providing system considering the use environment of the AI speaker connected with the display is considered. In order to achieve this, an information providing system is derived by comparing and analyzing products providing display-coupled AI speakers, audio-centric AI speakers, and smart phone voice recognition services, and features of the use environment and products. Analysis is one of the key factors in improving the usefulness of information, and is focused on the "proper nature" of the information, since it differs at some point in time depending on the type of interaction the display provides. Timeliness elements were organized into management information systems, data quality measurements and finance, and related awards and subordinate elements were derived and substituted into AI speaker usage environments to finance terminology. Seven products were selected for comparison between product types, and 16 of the currently commonly used artificial intelligence service functions were selected to create a task scenario. We then ran 16 task scenarios in seven products and observed what timeliness factors should be considered to provide information by task scenario. Based on the contents, the analysis was conducted in two stages. The first analysis proceeded by timeliness factors. How the timeliness elements affect the provision of information in an environment using an AI speaker in which the display is coupled is organized for each element. The second analysis took place by combining the contents of the task scenario and the primary analysis. First, the tasks to which the same timeliness elements are applied are grouped into four types. Thus, what kind of guide the system providing information for each type has is derived. Thereafter, a contextual flow map which can be utilized when designing the flow of the display coupled type AI speaker around the timeliness is developed. The purpose of the Contextual Flow Map is to help ensure that items to be considered in designing the screen around timeliness are considered in the map. After the development of the Contextual Flow Map, eight UX/UI designers were asked to design the flow and screen by using the map, and prototyped based on the map and verified.
It was found that the process of studying the contextual flow map by classifying four types centering on the timeliness of the verification results is appropriate and can be effectively utilized. As experts design screens through the contextual flow map, the development of the screen has progressed smoothly, and the resulting product has improved timeliness compared to the existing service. Therefore, it should be used to design the interaction of display-coupled AI speakers.
