65세 이상 노인의 수동휠체어 조작능력 평가 및 사용실태에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Evaluation and Use of Manual Wheelchair Skills Ability of the Elderly over 65Years

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 노인의 휠체어 조작능력, 자신감의 수준, 안전한사용 및 교육 실태 조사를 통해 휠체어 사용의 현 수준과 문제점을 파악하고, 독립적이고 안전한 사용을 위한 휠체어 제공방안을 제시하고자 하였다.
본 연구는 2017년 2월 1일부터 동년 3월 10일까지 서울에 거주하는 재가 노인장기요양 급여를 이용하는 65세 이상의 노인 70명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 1:1 방문 설문조사를 실시 하였다.
‘휠체어에서 의자로의 이동’이 조작능력 및 자신감에서 공통적으로 높게 나타났고 ‘턱 오르고 내리기’, ‘경사 오르고 내리기’ 등 지속적 근력이 요구되는 기술항목에서 조작능력 및 자신감의 수준이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 휠체어 안전사고 경험은 ‘없음’이 97.1%이나, 휠체어 사용 교육 및 훈련 받은 경험이 77.1%가 ’없음‘으로 응답하였다. 60%가 휠체어 사용교육 및 훈련의 필요성을 응답하였으며, ‘주의사항교육’, ‘휠체어 구성품 조절’ 및 ‘조작기술 교육’순으로 교육이 필요한 것으로 조사되었다.
독립적인 휠체어 사용을 높이기 위해 전문가를 통한 사용수준의 평가 및 휠체어 사용교육 등 맞춤형 지원체계가 마련되어야 할 것이다. 또한, 향후에는 휠체어 사용 수준 및 기술 평가를 위한 표준 화된 평가 도구 개발이 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the elderly s capacity to manipulate the wheelchair, the level of self-confidence, the frequency of wheelchair skills practice, and the safe use and education of wheelchair users, and to provide a wheelchair for independent and safe use.
Method : This study was conducted on 70 elderly people aged 65 years or older who were living in Seoul from February 1, 2017 to March 10, 2017, using a structured questionnaire to conduct a 1: 1 visiting questionnaire.
Result : The results of the analysis showed that ‘transferring from a wheelchair to a chair was common high in manipulation capacity, self – confidence frequency of operation, and in the skill items requiring continuous strength such as ‘Ascends and Descends low curb , ‘Ascends and Descends steep incline’ And the level of performance was low. In the case of wheelchair accident experience, 97.1% answered No , but 77.1% answered No in the experience using wheelchair education and training. 60% responded to the need for training and training in using wheelchairs, and education was required in order of cautions training , control of wheelchair components , and operation skill training .
Conclusion : In order to increase the use of independent wheelchairs, it is necessary to provide a customized support system such as evaluation of level of use through experts and education on wheelchair use. In the future, it will be necessary to develop a standardized evaluation tool for wheelchair use level and skills evaluation.
