대구시내 일부 여대생의 성지식과 태도에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Knowledge and Attitude of College Women Students about Sex in Teagu City

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to offer the basic data for guideline on sex education by knowing sexual knowledge and attitude.
The results were obtained from 438 respondents among college women students in Taegu City from June 1 to June 12, 1994 by questionnaire and were as follows.
1. The mean age of the respondents was 21.5 years.
2. 75.6% of the respondents were positively about a view of marriage.
3. Most of the respondents got their sex information sources through books and magazines, Mass-media(46.3 %), through a cultural lecture(chair)(19.4%), through friends(18.3 %).
4. In a matter of concern about sex, 59.2 % of the respondents was satisfy at present degree, 34.2 % was wanted to learn concretely].
5. In the content of the best concern at present, 32.7 % of the respondents was feminine culture, 32.0 % was sex education and 20.5 % was female physiology.
6. In the knowledge of sex,
1) Generally most of the respondents admitted knowledge about conception 98.5 %, menarche 99.6 %, menstruation 98.5 %, Veneral diseases 89.5 %.
2) 98.5 % of the respondents answered to the question of sex determination factor by male sex chromosome.
3) 84.9 % of the respondents answered to the question of the possible period of conception by 14th -16 day of the menstrual cycle.
4) 28.3 % of the respondents admitted knowledge about the expected data of confinement accounts (EDC : last menstruation month-3 and menstruation first of beg-inning day+7).
5) 81.7 % of the respondents answered by high pregnancy frequency give bad effect on mother's health.
7. In the attitude of sex,
1) 65.5 % of the respondents answered sexual behavior is natural.
2) 62.3 % of the respondents answered premarital purity should be keep.
3) 92.0 % of the respondents thought positively about opposite sex companionship.
4) 20.1 % of the respondents thought negatively about artificial abortion.
My suggestion based on above study is as follows :
1. It is necessary for the study to extend to nation wide group.
2. It is necessary to make comparative study between college women students and college men students and between general education(non-nursing) and professional nursing.
3. The establishment of consultants and institution which control sex problem should be asked so that anyone can contact them easing on one's sex problem.
4. It is necessary for the study about educational data and educational curriculum in order to recognize accurately women's health problem through professional women education.
