      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      In order to investigate the effects of sihochunggan dicoction on the twice disease, 48 healthy mice were injected with carbon tetra Chloride (1.2ml/kg). The injected mice were divided in two groups; experimental group was administered Sihochung gan dicoction twice daily and control group was given fresh water.
      The mice were killed at 1st, 2nd, 3th, 5th, 7th, and 9th days after the injection of CCl₄, and the pathological changes of liver were examined.
      The results obtained are as follow:
      1. The peripotal necrosis in the mice sacrificed at day one was fever in the experimental group than in the control group. Hemorrhages and individualization of hepatocytes were observed in the control group but no in the experimental group.
      2. In the mice sacrificed at day two, more mitotic figures (regeneration) were observed in the experimental group than in the control group.
      3. Conaestion and mononuclear cell infiltrations were milder in the experimental group than in the control group at day two.
      4. At day nine, focal mononuclear cell infiltrations and mild periportal degeneration were observed in the control group, while the liver tissue in the experimental group showed almost normal features.
