다문화가정 청소년의 스마트폰 중독에 영향을 미치는 원인 조건에 관한 탐색적 혼합연구 = An Exploratory Mixeds Medthds Study on the Conditions of SmartPhone addiction of the Youth from multicultural households

국문 초록 (Abstract)

인터넷과 스마트폰의 급격한 보급에 따라 이와 관련된 중독문제도 커지고 있다. 특히 스마트폰을 시작하는 연령이 낮아지고 장소의 제약이 없어짐에 따라 스마트폰 중독의 문제는 매우 심각하게 나타나고 있는 바이다. 국내 다문화가정의 증가는 다문화가정 아동·청소년의 증가로 이어지고 있다. 현재까지 일반가정 청소년의 인터넷·스마트폰 중독의 원인에 대한 연구는 활발하게 이루어졌으나 다문화가정 청소년의 스마트폰 중독의 원인에 대한 연구는 미진한 상태이다. 이러한 시류에 맞춰 다문화가정 청소년의 스마트폰 중독의 원인에 대해 혼합연구를 탐색해보고자 한다.
본 연구는 우리나라 다문화가정 중학교 청소년의 스마트폰 중독의 원인조건에 관한 탐색적 혼합연구이다. 연구결과는 첫째, 다문화가정 청소년의 스마트폰 중독에 영향을 미치는 양적연구의 주요변인은 부정적인 양육태도, 또래간의 소외, 낮은 자아정체감의 결합원인으로 나타났으며, 둘째, 다문화가정 청소년이 겪는 현실적 어려움과 스마트폰 중독원인은 매우 밀접한 관계가 있다. 마지막으로 다문화가정 청소년의 개인 내적인 문제와 외적인 환경문제는 스마트폰 중독 문제와 연결되어져 있다.
따라서 본 연구를 토대로 다문화가정 청소년의 스마트폰 중독의 개인 및 가정, 집단차원의 개입, 학교와 파트너쉽 구축을 위한 프로그램 구성 및 진행, 기관들의 다문화가정 부모교육 프로그램등과 같은 구체적인 방안을 제안하여 실천현장에서 유용하게 활용할 수 있는 기초자료를 제공하였다.

With the rapid dissemination of the internet and smartphones has come an increase in related addiction issues. The issue of smartphone addiction is growing more severe as the age in which smartphone usage lowers and limitations to access disappear. The increase in multicultural families in Korea is leading to an increase in children and youth from multicultural households. Currently, research on the causes of internet and smartphone addiction in youth from average families is actively underway, but few studies examine the causes of smartphone addiction in youth from multicultural households. In step with this trend, this study will conduct mixed-method research on the causes of smartphone addiction in youth from multicultural households. The present research is an investigative mixed-method study on the causal conditions of smartphone addiction in middle-school youth from multicultural households in Korea. The results of the study are as follows. First, internal personal issues and environmental issues among youth from multicultural households are connected to issues of smartphone addiction. Second, the qualitative research showed that the causes of smartphone addiction and realistic difficulties youth from multicultural households endured are closely related. Accordingly, this study provided baseline data that can be usefully applied in practical settings and proposed detailed measures such as personal, family, and community-level intervention in smartphone addiction among youth from multicultural families; program organization and execution for building partnerships with institutions and schools; and parent-education programs for those from multicultural households.
