This study analyses the political meaning of poetry writing of women with disability through the poet’s works and her narrative of women with disability. Furthermore, the study finds out how the poetry writing is related to the discrimination of the subject who lived in South Korea as a woman with disability, and how the poetry writing of women with disability acquires the political. As a result, firstly, the subject’s act of writing demonstrates the form of ‘Demos’, which is resistance against injustice, and which is the act of recognizing oneself as an unaccepted being in the ordered society and the act of linguistic expression of unacceptance. Secondly, the process of writing poetry by the subject demonstrates the equality of intelligence. The subject didn't follow the existing culture of debut poetry in South Korea, but wrote her own poetry related to her own desire. This act corresponds to the process of ‘subjectivation’ and political act. Thirdly, the subject’s poetry writing and its narrative reinforce the concept of ‘disability as a result of social response’, and it further suggests the dichotomous division of disability/ability. In turn, living in Korean society as a woman with a disability corresponds to living in discrimination and oppression, and the poetry writing of women with disabilities becomes the political action to confront it. By extension, it is necessary to rethink the distinction of disability/non-disability in the fundamental point of disability studies, as Rancière criticized the dichotomy of worker/bourgeois. In order to achieve this, it is necessary, above all, to discuss the concepts of ‘disability’ and ‘disabled person’.
