IN those happy days before the war when income tax was is. in the pound-- and that was considered heavy-- London supported a permanent summer exhibition-- and for some time it supported two. But the oldest and longest established was that at Earl's Court. It was definitely part of London's life, and it was very pleasant, on a summer's evening, to visit the exhibition, stroll around the grounds, and listen to the bands.
