인포그래픽 시각적 요소 활용에서 나타난 디자인 사고 연구 = A Study on Design Thinking in the Use of Infographic Visual Elements

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 정보를 가공하고 조직화하는 제작자 중심에서 시각적 요소 활용과 디자인 사고의 과정을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 자크 버틴(JacqouesBertin)의 정보의 시각화 요소, 그래픽 요소를 정리하였다. 더불어 인포그래픽의 편집은 내용과 구성에 따라 시각적 요소를 적절히 배분하고 적용하는 관점과 틸(Teal)의 “디자인 사고란 확산적 사고를 기반으로 가능성을 도출하여 해결책을 찾는 사고법”이라는 것을 통해 인포그래픽 제작의 시각적 요소를 활용하기 위한 과정을 디자인 사고 중 하나라는 관점을 가진다. 사례연구에서 정보의 가공과 시각화 단계의 결과물을 대상으로 회상적 보고 중 하나인 리뷰의 방식을 통해 확인하였다. 그 결과 타이포는 사용자에게 주목성을 이끌고, 아이콘 역할을 하여 세부적인 설명글을 이끌어주는 요소로, 평면도형은 정보의 내용을 구분 지어주는 요소와 시각적 저해요소로도 활용되었다. 일러스트레이션은 편집 레이아웃에서 단순한 요소와 은유적으로 표현하는 요소로 사용하는 경우도 있었다. 색상은 정보의 내용을 충분히 이해하지 못한 상황에서 인근한 요소들의 색상, 정보의 의미를 반영한 색상이 표현되기도 하였다. 개념적 정보가 시각화 되는 과정에서 디자인 요소의 활용과 편집의 복합적인 개념이 작용하겠지만 정보가 가지는 개념적 내용이 효율적으로 전달되어야 할 것이다. 시각적 표현의 결과물이 정보전달의 요소라고 할 때 디자인 제작 단계에서 디자인 사고에 대한 연구를 통해 정보의 조직화 시각화에서 발생하는 오류의 최소화가 이루어 질 수 있을 것으로 본다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the process of using visual elements and design thinking centered on makers who process and organize information. Jacques Bertin's visualization and graphical elements are summarized for this purpose. In addition, the editing of infographic is based on the perspective of appropriating and applying visual elements according to contents and composition, and Teal's "design thinking is a thinking method of finding solutions based on diffuse thinking" The process to utilize the element has a viewpoint as one of design thinking. In the case study, the results of the processing and visualization of the information were confirmed through review method, which is one of the recurring reports. As a result, the typo is a factor that leads the attention to the user and serves as an icon, leading to detailed explanations. The plan type is also used as a factor for discriminating the content of information and a visual obstacle factor. Illustrations were sometimes used as simple and metaphorical elements in edit layouts. The color is expressed by the color of the nearby elements and the color reflecting the meaning of the information when the content of the information is not fully understood. In the process of visualizing conceptual information, a complex concept of utilization and editing of design elements will work, but the conceptual contents of information should be delivered efficiently. If the result of visual expression is an element of information transfer, it can be minimized by visualization of information through research on design thinking at design stage.
