설문조사 기반 만족도 분석을 통한 공기호흡기 개선 방향 제시에 관한 연구 = A Study on Proposed Improvement Directions for SCBA Based on Satisfaction Analysis from Surveys

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 설문조사 기반 공기호흡기(self-contained breathing apparatus, SCBA) 만족도 실태를 분석하고 소방대원의 신체적 특징이 만족도에 미치는 영향 분석을 통하여 SCBA 개선 방향을 제시하였다. 만족도 분석 결과, SCBA종합 만족도는 보통 이하로 나타났으며 등지게부의 경우 무게, 안면부의 경우 유지보수 항목에서 가장 낮은 만족도를 보였다. SCBA의 개선 우선 순위는 무게, 착용성, 기능 순으로 나타났다. 관절 가동범위에서는 신체와 SCBA의간섭이 발생하는 동작(몸통 굽힘, 목폄), 소방 활동은 근력과 섬세한 움직임이 필요한 활동(좁은공간통과하기, 장애물 통과, 창문진입/탈출)에서 각각 낮은 만족도를 보였다. 신체 특징에 따른 만족도는 신장과 체중이 작을수록 상대적으로 낮은 만족도를 보였다. 따라서 원활한 소방 활동을 위해 SCBA의 경량화는 필수적이며 착용성 및 유지보수개선을 위해 등지게 형상의 인체공학적 설계, 유연하고 세척이 용이한 소재 적용 등이 필요하다. 또한 다양한 신체적특징을 고려하여 등받이 높낮이 조절, 벨트 및 끈의 길이 및 조임 조절 기능 강화가 필요하다.

This study analyzed satisfaction levels with a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) based on a survey and examinedthe influence of firefighters' physical characteristics on SCBA satisfaction, providing directions for SCBA improvements. Theresults indicated that overall satisfaction with SCBA was below average. For the harness, heaviness was rated the lowest,whereas maintenance received the lowest satisfaction rating for face masks. The highest priorities for improving the SCBAwere heaviness, wearability, and functionality. In terms of joint range of motion, firefighters reported low satisfaction withmovements in which body interference with the SCBA occurred (such as trunk flexion and cervical extension). Additionally,firefighting activities requiring strength and precise movements (such as passing through stud spaces, obstacle courses, andentry/exit through windows) showed low satisfaction. Satisfaction with firefighting activities was relatively low amongfirefighters of lower heights and weights. Therefore, lightweight SCBAs are essential for efficient firefighting withimprovements in wearability and maintenance, such as ergonomically designed harnesses and flexible easy-to-clean materials.
In addition, adjustable features for the backplate height, belt, and strap length/tightness are required to accommodate a rangeof physical characteristics.
