김기진·김남천 비평의 사유 체계와 인식소들 = The thinking system and cognition factors of Kim, Ki-jin & Kim, Nam-cheon’s criticism

The development process of Kim Nam-cheon’s critical thought can be seen to resemble that of Marx. His moving from ‘pigeon of vacuum’ to ‘pigeon of air’ would be the proof that his criticism had moved from the abstract to the concrete. It is an abstract system of ideas that has a common relationship with the historical failure of the KAPF. In addition, a series of subject matter issues may also be read as an attempt to restore the materiality of experience and the specificity of life from the universal and abstract principles. Kim, Ki-jin’s critical world is believed to have provided a firm foundation for the development of Kim, Nam-cheon’s criticism and its reasons. The antagonism between politics and literature, which is equivalent to a fundamental sense of problem in Kim’s criticism, the basic attitude of cherishing the faithfulness of the process rather than the results, the process of shaping literature and art, the consideration of the writers and readers who are in charge of specific and realistic matters, and the aspect of empirical transcendence as a total of them and one cognitive horizon, can finally be seen in Kim, Ki-jin’s language. In short, the propositions and past processes that the two had penetrated would have given way to rescuing the ‘Marxian’ from the ‘Marxist’. Criticism texts by Kim, Ki-jin and Kim, Nam-cheon are still literary traditions with a strong appeal, awaiting the call of the historical present with ample interpretability open.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

김남천이 ‘진공 중의 비둘기’에서 ‘공중의 비둘기’로 사유의 방점을 이동해간 것은, 그의 비평세계가 추상에서 구체로 옮아갔음을 말해주는 단적인 증거이다. 그것은 추상적 관념체계로서 카프의 역사적 실패와 공속관계를 이룬다. 또한 일련의 주체화 논제들 역시 보편적·추상적 원리로부터 경험의 물질성, 삶의 구체성을 복원하려는 시도로 읽을 수 있을 것이다. 김기진의 비평세계는 이상 김남천 비평의 전개에 있어 굳건한 인식론적 토대 및 그 사유의 지반을 제공했던 것으로 판단된다. 김기진 비평에 있어 근본적 문제의식에 해당하는 정치와 문학의 길항관계, 결과보다는 과정의 충실성을 소중히 여기는 기본적 태도, 문학예술의 형상화 과정 및 그 구체적·현실적 담당자인 작가와 독자에 대한 충분한 배려와 실제적 조건들의 고려, 그리고 그것들의 총합이자 하나의 인식론적 지평으로서 경험적 초월론의 양상 등은 김기진에게서 빠짐없이 그 단초들을 볼 수 있으며, 비로소 김남천에 이르러 본격적인 심화·확산의 양상들을 통해, 마침내 체화된 언어로서 한국 마르크스주의 비평의 진면목을 획득하고 있기 때문이다. 요컨대 두 사람이 관통했던 명제들과 그 지난한 과정들은 ‘마르크스주의적인(Marxist) 것’으로부터 ‘마르크스적인(Marxian) 것’을 구출해내는 작업에 방불했다 할 것이었다.
