Aortic stenosis causes chest pain and decreased exercise ability, replacement with an artificial valve is required. Mechanical and bioprosthetic valves are used in clinical according to guideline. These have some problems such as durability, thrombosis, and pannus, prosthetic valves using synthetic polymers with excellent biocompatibility and durability are emerging. In this study, we investigated how to fabricate prosthetic valve using ePTFE, and the effect of changes in the geometry and thickness of leaflet on the opening and closing of prosthetic valves. The prosthetic valves with three different geometric shapes and three different thicknesses of leaflet were prepared and experimented with a pulsatile piston pump. As a result, the thinner the thickness and the lower the central depth of leaflet, the better the opening and closing function of the valve was.
