한국 미술·미술교육 분야에서의 질적 연구 - 역사와 그 특징들의 탐구 - = Qualitative Research in the Field of Korean Art and Art Education - An Exploration of Its History and Characteristics -

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 한국 미술과 미술교육 분야에서 질적 연구의 역사적 발달과 특징을고찰하며, 독창성·주관성·해석을 중시하는 이들 분야와 질적 연구의 본질적 연관성을탐구하였다. 1980년대 이후 연구를 7가지 방법론으로 분석한 결과, 미술교육 분야에서는 질적 연구 활용이 증가했으나 미술 분야, 특히 실기 연구에서의 체계적적용은 부족했다. 그러나 미술과 미술교육은 질적 연구와 본질적으로 밀접한연관성을 지니고 있어, 향후 질적 연구의 정교한 적용은 한국 미술과 미술교육의문화적 정체성 강화, 아시아 담론 형성, 세계적 위상 제고에 기여할 학문적 기반이 될수 있음을 시사한다. 이는 창의성과 소통을 중시하는 미술과 미술교육의 본질적가치를 부각시키며, 학문적·실천적 의의를 지닌다.

This study examines the historical development and characteristics of qualitative research in Korean art and art education, exploring the intrinsic connections between these fields that emphasize originality, subjectivity, and interpretation. Analysis of research since the 1980s using seven methodological approaches reveals increased utilization of qualitative research in art education, while systematic application in art, particularly studio practice research, remains insufficient. Given the inherently close relationship between art and art education with qualitative research paradigms, sophisticated application of qualitative methodologies can serve as an academic foundation for strengthening Korean art and art education's cultural identity, forming Asian discourse, and enhancing global standing. This highlights the essential values of art and art education that prioritize creativity and communication, demonstrating significant academic and practical implications.
