According to the National Health Insurance, the obesity prevalence rate in Korea is increasing. This paper explores the experiences of consumers using anti-obesity drugs among various weight loss methods, including exercise therapy, dietary intake therapy, obesity drug therapy on body type satisfaction. A survey was conducted on participants with experience taking obesity drugs, and correlation analysis, T-tests, regression analysis, and moderation analysis were performed to examine the effects of body type satisfaction on exercise, dietary intake, and obesity drug use, utilizing IBM SPSS 26. Many survey participants reported dissatisfaction with their body shape. T-test analysis indicated that men had significantly higher body mass index, body type satisfaction, and exercise effectiveness compared to women. The correlation analysis revealed a negative relationship between body mass index and body type satisfaction, while positive correlations were found between exercise and body type satisfaction, obesity drug and body type satisfaction, dietary intake and exercise, and obesity drug therapy and dietary intake. Regression analysis showed that dietary intake was significant for men. However, exercise had a significant effect on body type satisfaction for women. Analysis of body type satisfaction, exercise, dietary intake, and obesity drugs revealed a mediating effect when examining the moderating effect of gender on body type satisfaction. This study is expected to contribute to future research on weight loss methods and body type satisfaction, while also enhancing the understanding of consumer characteristics among those who use obesity drugs.
