Surgical treatment of advanced carcinomas of the head and neck area often requires extensive resection, necessitating large flap for reconstruction. Although various myocutaneous flap which provide both muscle bulk and skin coverage is used for head and neck reconstruction, pectoralis major myocutaneous flap is used most frequently because of excellent vascularity, anatomic proximity, long arc of rotation, reliability and versatility.
