Purpose : The aim of this study was to identify the interaction between nurses and patients and make clear attribute of the interaction between nurses and patients reflected on the view of general hospital nursing setting. Methods : Concept analysis was conducted using Walker and Avant’s eight step approach with research on databases, including Google scholar, Pubmed, RISS, DBpia. KISS for papers and journals with the keywords ‘nurse-patient interaction’ from 2015 to 2024 where the original texts could be found. Results : The key attributes were identified as ‘Trust building of patients toward the nurses’, ‘Maintaining patients’ dignity’ and ‘Verbal and nonverbal therapeutic communication’. Conclusion : The concept analysis provides insight into nature of the interaction between nurses and patient in and also helps ground the concept in general hospital nursing setting.
