Environmental design is defined as manipulation of environment for human.
Recently along with a growing introspection and re-evaluation of our man-made environment of which quality and form have been shaped mainly by the mechanical world view, there seems to emerge a new awareness of the importance human factors as one of the most important criteria in teh design field.
Man as human being rather than mechanic being become regarded as the legitimate objective of environmental design.
With recently increasing concerns about human factors in environmental design, human-behavior becomes matte with quality of life.
From this point of view, the purpose of this study is firstly to introduce the concept of human-behavior which has been interesting to environmental designers, and secondly the significance of human behavior as environmental design criteria, and finally to present the possibility of applying the human-behavior to the environmental design.
