複合動詞「～つく」と「～つける」の研究 - 周辺的な用法の特徴を中心に-

The purpose of this paper is to focus on the peripheral usage unique to each of the compound verbs “~つく” and “~つける” and to clarify the characteristics of the different aspects from a semantic perspective. For this purpose, we considered three main characteristics, taking into account the need to investigate in detail how the main verb functions as a post verb.
The results show that there is a difference in the characteristic that is strongly maintained in the peripheral usage peculiar to “~つく” and “~つける.” The focus of “~つく” is “maintenance,” whereas the focus of “~つける” is “position change/contact.” Furthermore, the latter terms, “つく” and “つける,” have corresponding relationships between intransitive and transitive verbs. However, in the peripheral usage specific to each of “~つく” and “~つける,” the characteristic aspects of intransitive or transitive verbs are strongly reflected; this is not seen in the usage common to “~つく” and “~つけ る.”
