한국 가톨릭교회 가정 사목의 현황 및 전망에 대한 연구 : 서울대교구를 중심으로 = A Study on the Current Status and Prospect of the Family Ministry in the Catholic Church of Korea

국문 초록 (Abstract)

가정은 사회의 기본 세포로서 개인에게나 사회에게나 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 가톨릭교회의 가르침에 따르면 혼인과 가정은 하느님께 기원을 두고 있기에 천부(天賦)의 존엄성을 지니고 있고, 특히 그리스도인의 혼인은 ‘그리스도와 교회의 관계’를 나타나는 표징으로서 성사의 품위가 올려진다. 이러한 성사로서 태어난 그리스도인 가정은 자신의 고유한 사명이 있다.
그러나 오늘날 혼인과 가정의 소중한 가치를 위협하는 요소가 많기에 그리스도인 가정도 영향을 받고, 자신의 고유한 사명을 수행하는 데에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 그래서 가톨릭교회는 혼인과 가정의 소중한 가치를 더욱 널리 전파하도록 혼인과 가정에 대한 ‘기쁜 소식’을 세상에서 끊임없이 선포하고, 동시에 가정들을 동반하며 특히 그리스도인 가정이 자신의 사명을 제대로 수행할 수 있도록 보태어 준다. 한국 가톨릭교회의 가정 사목은 1970년대부터 이미 가정 사목의 중요성을 인식했고 가정 사목을 위한 큰 노력을 기울여 왔다. 그런데 날로 빠르게 변화하는 사회적 문화적 환경은 또 새로운 사목적 도전과 과제를 제시한다.
따라서 본 논문은 그리스도인 가정의 의미, 그리고 가정에 대한 교회의 사목적 배려를 구체적으로 살펴보고자 하고, 오늘 사회적 문화적 배경 안에 한국 가톨릭교회, 특히 중심적인 역할을 해 온 서울대교구의 가정 사목의 역사, 현황을 살펴보며 사목적 반성과 함께 새로운 도전 과제를 직면하도록 나아가야 할 방향을 탐구하고자 한다.
본론은 4개의 장으로 구성되어 있다. 2장은 성경과 교회 문헌을 통해서 가톨릭교회가 가르치는 혼인과 가정의 의미를 살펴볼 것이고, 3장은 「가정 공동체」와 「사랑의 기쁨」에 나타나는 가정에 대한 사목적 배려를 구체적으로 살펴볼 것이다. 4장은 한국 가톨릭교회 가정 사목(서울대교구를 중심으로) 즉 한국 가톨릭교회 가정 사목의 역사, 생명과 가정에 대한 한국 가톨릭 신자의 실태 및 한국 가톨릭교회 가정 사목의 현황에 대해 살펴볼 것이다. 이어서 한국 가톨릭교회 가정 사목에 대해 반성하면서 오늘날 한국 사회에서 혼인과 가정을 위협하는 몇 가지 문제를 제시할 것이다. 5장은 이러한 새로운 도전 과제를 직면하기 위한 몇 가지 사목적 대안을 제시할 것이다.
가정의 행복한 상태는 개인의 행복과 사회 공동체의 안녕을 좌우한다. 교회만이 아니라 모든 사람은 혼인과 가정의 행복을 도모하는 의무가 있다. 그래서 더 많은 사람은 혼인과 가정에 대한 관심을 갖고, 혼인과 가정의 소중한 가치를 수호하고 증진하기를 바란다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As a basic cell of society, family plays an important role both in individual and in society. According to the teachings of the Catholic Church, marriage and family have divine dignity because they have their origin in God. And in particular, Christian marriage raises the dignity of sacrament as a symbol of the “relationship between Christ and the church.” Christian family, born of this sacrament, has its own mission.
However, since there are many factors that threaten the essential values ​​of marriage and family nowadays, Christian family is also affected and finds it difficult to carry out its own mission. Therefore, in order to widely spread the essential values of marriage and family, the Catholic Church constantly declares the “good news” about marriage and family in the world, and at the same time accompanies families, especially Christian families to fulfill their mission properly. Since 1970s, the family ministry in the Catholic Church of Korea has already recognized the importance of its mission and since then has made great efforts. However, the rapid changes in the social and cultural environment presents new pastoral challenges and tasks.
Therefore, this thesis aims to examine in detail the meaning of the Christian family and the pastoral care for families in the Catholic Church. And this thesis examines the history and current status of the family ministry amid today’s social and cultural background in the Korean Catholic Church, especially the Seoul Archdiocese, which has played a central role, and it explores the direction that needs to be taken to face new challenges along with pastoral reflection.
This thesis consists of four chapters. Chapter 2 examines the meaning of marriage and family taught by the Catholic Church through the Bible and Church literature, and chapter 3 focuses on the pastoral care for families in the 「Familiaris Consortio」 and 「Amoris Laetitia」. Chapter 4 is about the family ministry in the Korean Catholic Church (focused on the Seoul Archdiocese), examining its history, the current situation of Korean Catholics in relation to life and family, and the current status of the Catholic Church in Korea. After that, while reflecting on the pastoral care of the Catholic Church in Korea, this research presents some issues that threaten marriage and family in today's Korean society. Chapter 5 presents some pastoral alternatives to face these new challenges.
The happy state of the family determines individual happiness and the well-being of the social community. Not only the church, but everyone has an obligation to promote marriage and family happiness. Therefore caring about marriage and family, the protection and promotion of its essential values should be urged to more people.
