이야기치료에 기반 한, 자살 유족의 상실 회복을 위한 목회상담 = Pastoral Counseling for the Recovery of the Loss of the Bereaved Family of Suicide Sased on Narrative Therapy

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The paper intends to suggest the strategies of pastoral counseling that can help the recovery of suicide survivor on narrative therapy. Suicide is easily understood as individual’s death and could be considered a private domain. However, suicide affects many people who have been had relationship with the deceased. Moreover, Christian suicide survivor is placed in the blind spot of pastoral care due to the negative notion that social and church have about suicide, and experiences various psychological difficulties without pastoral care and support. Accordingly, the researcher began the study feeling the need for research for helping the mourning of Christian families who lost their family member by suicide and the recovery of their life.
This study will be conducted in three parts. The first will look at the definition of suicide survivor and deal with the mourning that they experience. Through this, it will be possible to broaden the understanding of suicide survivor. Above all, researcher will try to understand psychological aspects which suicide survivors experience due negative prejudice and stigma about suicide of their family. Second, the problem-saturated stories that dominate the life of Christian bereaved families who lost their family members from suicide will be dealt with from the perspective of narrative therapy. Christianity has historically taught Christians to maintain a negative theological perspective on suicide. Researcher would like to examine how these teachings have become the dominant discourse and suppress the lives of suicide survivor. Third, researcher will propose strategies of pastoral counseling that can help restoring and reconstructing the life of suicide survivor as three aspects of narrative therapy: Externalizing conversation, Re-membering conversation, Definition ceremonies. Through the aforementioned process, this study concludes by suggesting that suicide survivor will be able to recover from the pain and grief suffered by loss and persue a new journey of life.
