디자인전공 중국인 유학생의 학생성공을 위한 교육서비스 제안 - 디자인인씽킹 방법을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

대한민국의 고등교육은 생산가능인구 감소에 따라 외국인 유학생 유치 및 정착이 중요시되고 있다. 그러나, 유학생의 중도탈락률은 증가하고 있으며, 정착 비율은 저조한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 잠재적 우수 인력인 석·박사 과정 중국인 유학생의 안정적인 대학생활 지원을 위해 디자인씽킹 방법과 도구를 활용한 학생성공 관점의 교육서비스 디자인을 제안한다. 이를 위해 선행연구 분석을 통해 도출된 학생성공 요소에 기반하여 사용자 조사와 해외 선진사례 분석을 실시한다. 사용자 조사를 통해 대학원 생활 단계별 고충사항 및 필요사항을 도출하고, 해외 대학 사례분석 결과와 학생성공 연구를 반영하여 학생, 교직원의 역할 및 관계를 나타낸 서비스 청사진 형태의 교육서비스 디자인을 제안한다. 단계는 대학원 준비 및 등록, 주도적 학업 참여, 자기 효능감, 사회 공동체 의식, 졸업 및 성취 단계로 구분되어 있으며, 각 단계별 맞춤형 교육서비스 전략을 제안한다. 본 연구는 외국인 유학생 지원의 학문적, 정서적, 사회적 성공을 포함하는 통합적 지원 모델을 제안하고자 했으며, 이를 통해 외국인 유학생이 학업을 지속하고 졸업 후 성공적으로 정착할 수 있도록 지원하는 통합적 교육서비스 개발에 기여할 수 있다.

South Korea's higher education sector is increasingly focusing on attracting and retaining international students in response to the declining working-age population. However, dropout rates among international students are rising, and their retention rates remain low. This study proposes an education service design based on the student success perspective, utilizing design thinking methods and tools to support the stable academic experience of international master's and doctoral students, who are considered potential high-quality talent. To achieve this, the study conducts user research and analyzes advanced international case studies based on student success factors derived from a review of prior research. Through user research, the study identifies challenges and needs at different stages of graduate student life. By integrating findings from international case studies and student success research, the study proposes an education service design in the form of a service blueprint, outlining the roles and relationships among students, faculty, and institutions. The proposed framework categorizes the graduate student journey into five stages: preparation and enrollment, active academic engagement, self-efficacy, sense of social community, and graduation and achievement. For each stage, the study suggests tailored education service strategies. This research aims to propose a comprehensive support model that encompasses academic, emotional, and social success for international students. By doing so, it contributes to the development of an integrated education service that enables international students to persist in their studies and successfully settle after graduation.
