The purpose of this study is through a regular and voluntary arobic dance to reveal the effects of sports participation on mental health and physical self-concept of Korea adult mowen,based upon the theory of mental health structure and models of physical self-concept. The subjects were 624 Korean adult women who live in Seoul. Their ages were 20-60ages. The observational instrument was used for SCL-90-R (for the masure of negative mental health), and PSDQ: Physical Self-Description Questionnaire (for the masure of physical self-concept). Their responses were analylized by utilizing SPSS/PC to observe foiling ares: 1. to measure correlation between aerobic dance participation, age,duration, frequency, PSDQ, SCL-90-R. 2. to measure significance of PSDQ, SCL-90-R by aerobic dance participation by analysing with t-test. 3. to measure significance of age, duration, frequency, PSDQ, SCL-90-R by analysing with one way ANOVA. As the results, aerobic dance participation has proven to be an effective for adult women`s physical aelf-concept and mental health.
