지형학적 관점에서 본 정읍 무성서원의 입지 특성 = Locational Characteristics of Jeongeup Museongseowon Confucian Academy from a Topographical Perspective

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 지형학적 관점에서 무성서원의 입지 특성을 밝히는 것으로, 이를 위하여 지형분석 및 부속건물의 지형인자와 경관을 분석하였다. ① 무성서원 일대의 지형은 구릉, 곡저평야, 선상지, 범람원이 있으며, 무성서원은 구릉의 말단 전면에 위치한다. ② 무성서원의 서쪽 구릉은 겨울철 방풍에 유리하고, 동쪽 능선은 여름철 통풍에 유리하다. ③ 무성서원과 원촌마을의 지형은 선상지로 배수가 용이하며, 풍수해로부터 안전하여 건물이 입지하기에 좋다. ④ 무성서원의 좌향(坐向)은 구릉 능선의 향을 반영하였으며, 이는 지형을 고려한 입지이다. ⑤ 현가루에서 조망되는 무성서원의 경관은 근경으로 원촌마을의 민가가, 중경으로 농경지와 일대 마을이, 원경으로 산지가 조망되는 경관을 보인다.

The purpose of this study was to clarify the location of Museongseowon from a topographical perspective. To this end, the topographical factors and landscape of the ancillary buildings were analyzed. ① The terrain around Museongseowon is composed of hills, valley bottoms, alluvial plains, and floodplains, and Museongseowon is located at the front edge of those hills. ② The western hill of Museongseowon is good for blocking the wind in winter, and the eastern hill is good for ventilation in summer. ③ The terrains or landforms of Museongseowon and Wonchon Village is on alluvial fan, making it safe from drainage and flood damage, making it ideal for building. ④ The jaw-hyung of Museongseowon reflects the direction of the hill ridge, and this is a location that takes into account the terrain. ⑤ The landscape of Museongseowon from Hyeon-garu shows the houses of Wonchon Village in the foreground, farmland and villages in the middle, and mountains in the distance.
