N-Phenylcyclotrisiloxazane and N,N',N"-triphenylcyclotrisilazane is synthesized by cyclization of 1, 5-dichlorohexamethyltrisiloxane with aniline and dimethylichlorosilane with aniline in the solution of trimethylamine and DMF. They are confirmed by IR, NMR and mass spectra. Poly(dimethylsiloxane-N-phenylsilazane) block copolymers are prepared through the copolymerization of cyclosiloxazane and cyclosilazane with hexamethylcyclotrisiloxane using potassium silanolate with DMSO and potassium triphenylsilanolate with DMSO. The structure of copolymers are determined by IR and NMR spectra. The block copolymers are yellowish viscous liquid and thermal stability of the copolymers are measured by TGA. The copolymer prepared with the mole ratio of D3 to D3N1 is 1 to 0.2 had higher thermal stability up to 450℃.
