It is ever the fault of man that he undervalues the blessings of God. Surrounded with every thing that can be subservient to his wants, he is regardless of his benefactor. Such was doubtless the state of things in the days of the Psalmist. We are led to suppose from the language at the head of this article, that the people were slow to praise God; and this conclusion is strengthened by the consideration, that the same form of exhortation and entreaty was frequently employed.
