The purpose of this study was to examine the difficulties of North Korean defector mothers sending their children to early childhood education institutions, and to discuss support plans for them. The subjects of this study were nine research articles that revealed specific examples of ‘North Korean defectors, raising children’ and ‘North Korean defectors, young children’ as common themes. As a result of this study, North Korean defector mothers who send their children to early childhood education institutions were experiencing difficulties due to differences in language, educational methods, and economic burden. As a support plans for the difficulties of language differences, the development of Korean language education methods and textbooks for early childhood education institutions was proposed. Regarding the differences in education methods, parent education in which parents from North and South Korea participate together, online parent education support for North Korean defectors, and development of educational apps were suggested. For the difficulty of cost burden, part-time cooperative childcare after returning home by autonomous operation of North Korean defector mothers was proposed
