In the era of globalization, Korean companies are actively entering overseas markets. In this global era, this study especially focused on outward foreign direct investment (OFDI) due to the expansion of Korea's FTA. Based on the existing theoretical background, the main core content is to derive 10 strategies that are likely to succeed in OFDI of Korean companies considering Korea’s FTAs. The contents of the 10 strategies derived based on Porter's diamond model are as follows; (1) OFDI strategies in low value-added areas; (2) strategies to strengthening OFDI expert education; (3) strategies using rules of origin; (4) strategies tailored to the local market; (5) strategies for joint entry; (6) strategies for building networks related to overseas expansion; (7) strategies for OFDI using tariffs; (8) hub-and-spoke strategies; (9) joint investment strategies; (10) OFDI strategies using strategic industries in host countries. Finally, through this study, it was intended to establish the right OFDI strategy for Korean companies and provide the basis for government support policies, and related practical and theoretical implications were also suggested.
