소크라테스 이전의 자연철학자들에 대한 포퍼와 하이데거 사상의 비교연구 = A comparative study of Heidegger`s and Popper`s views on the Pre-socratics

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Heidegger and Popper have widely divided opinions on almost all philosophical questions, even though both of them influenced the thinking world of the twentieth century greatly. Heidegger thinks that the present age is the one where the forgetfulness of Being culminated, while Popper estimates the age after the World War II as the best of all the ages that have existed. Heidegger insists that the art and the poetic thinking reveal the truth of beings, while Popper thinks that the science reveals the truth of beings. Heidegger thinks that the crisis of the present age can be overcome through the new revelation of the truth of Being, while Popper thinks that the problems of the present society can be solved through the gradual reforms based on the open discussions between the members of the society. This research supposes that the differences between Heidegger and Popper come to light most clearly in the views of both thinkers on the Pre-socratics. Popper thinks that the views of Pre-socratics on the nature are the seeds of the modern theories on the nature and the modern natural science is the development of the pre-socratic views on the nature. On the contrary, Heidegger says that the Pre-socratics have totally different understandings on the nature than the modern natural sciences and therefore the both of them can`t be compared on the same horizon. The differences between Heidegger`s and Popper`s views an the Pre-socratics are based on the radical differences between Heidegger`s and Popper`s views on the fundamental themes like the human being, the nature and the history. This research intends to reveal the differences between both thinkers on the Pre-socratics and mediate the productive conversation between them, through revealing the insights and limits of each of them.
