한국판 자살하지 않는 이유 척도(K-RFL)의 확인적 요인분석 : 정신건강의학과 외래환자를 대상으로 = Confirmatory Factor Analysis of the Korean Version Reasons for Living Inventory :Examination of Psychiatry Department Outpatients

Objectives : In contrast to the vast literature on risk factors for suicide, far fewer studies have identified protective factors. One psychological variable that has received more attention in the suicidality than other potential protective factors is the degree to which an individual can identify specific reasons for living. This study investigated to verify the factor structure of the Korean Version Reasons for Living Inventory (K-RFL) by applying a confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Methods : To evaluate the goodness of fit of Six alternative models taken from factor st-ructures which had been reported in previous studies, CFA was carried out on the K-RFL with respect to a group of 239 patients. Results : It was found that a hierarchical model with 1 second-order factor and 4 first-order factor was the best fit for the our data. And there are significant correlation between the factors of the K-RFL. Conclusion : This results indicate that the hierarchical four-factor model can be used to Korean psychiatric field. This study suggests that the reason for living, as assessed by the K-RFL, cluster into four correlated factors : survival and coping belief, fear of death and social disapproval, family responsibility and child-related concerns, and future expectation.
