Absorption spectra and kinetics of solvated electrons in solvent mixtures give some information about the properties of solvated electrons.
In this paper the reaction between solvated electrons and benzene in several tetrahydrofuran/water mixtures will be investigated in the temperature range 260K<T<325K by Laser-Flash-Spectroscopy. Solvent and temperature dependence of absorption spectra will be discussed. In this study, it is found that the maximum wavelengths of the absorption shectrum were increased with increasing THF content and temperature.
