전공자격증이 취업에 미치는 영향 : 제철산업학과 사례 = Effect of Certificates of Major on Employment : Case of Steel Industry

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study surveyed 244 employees out of a total of 356 graduates from the steel industry in 2015 to February 2019. The employmentrate of graduates is POSCO 67.7%, Hyundai Steel 23.8%, POSCO families 13.1%, and Hyundai Steel families 8.5%. Thenational certificates acquired by each section were surveyed, with 53.1% of metal section, 39.8% of mechanical section, and 7.1%of other section. Preferred national certificates were POSCO, machinery maintenance industry technicians, steelmaking technicians,and Hyundai Steel followed steelmaking technicians, mechanical maintenance industrial technicians. Among other certifications,the national certificate of industrial safety industrial engineer was preferred. In addition, the average number of national certificatesper person for major employment is 5.06 for POSCO, 5.35 for POSCO families, 5.29 for Hyundai Steel, and 4.73 for Hyundai Steelfamilies. The average number of national certificates for S-OIL, KEPCO, Poongsan Metal, etc., is 2.51. In conclusion, it was foundthat the national certificates related to majors are used as the main evaluation data in finding suitable majors and competency for thejob when recruiting talents.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 제철산업학과 2015년에서 2019년 2월 졸업생 총 356명 중 취업자 244명을 대상으로 연구하였다. 졸업생의 주요 취업처인 포스코의 취업율은 67.7%, 현대제철은 23.8%, 포스코 계열사 13.1%, 현대제철 계열사는 8.5%로 조사되었다. 각 분야별취득한 자격증은 금속 분야 53.1%, 기계 분야 39.8%, 기타분야 7.1%이다. 국가자격증의 종류와 분포는 포스코의 경우, 기계정비산업기사, 제선 기능사 및 제강 기능사 순이며, 현대제철은 제강기능사, 제선 기능사 및 기계정비 산업기사 순으로 조사되었다.
이 외 기타분야의 자격증 중 산업안전 산업기사 국가자격증을 비중이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 취업자 1인당 평균 국가자격증의수는 포스코 5.06개, 포스코 계열사 5.35개, 현대제철 5.29개, 현대제철 계열사 4.73개이다. S-오일, 한국전력, 풍산금속 등 기타 취업처의 평균 국가자격증 수는 2.51개로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 조사한 전공 관련 국가 자격증이 입사시 직무에 필요한 인재를 채용하고, 직무에 적합한 전공자를 발굴하는 데에 있어서 주요한 평가자료로 사용 된다는 결론을 얻었다.
