전주시 문화자원 연계를 통한 어진박물관 활성화 방안 = A Study on the Revitalization of the Eojin Museum through the Integration of Cultural Resources in Jeonju-si

국문 초록 (Abstract)

전북특별자치도 전주시는 우리나라를 대표하는 문화도시이자 전통문화를 보존하고 있는 지역으로 잘 알려져 있다. 전주시의 어진박물관은 조선을 건 국한 태조 이성계의 유일한 초상화인 태조어진을 비롯해 조선 왕조의 역사 와 문화유산을 보존, 전시하는 중요한 문화시설이다. 전주는 조선 왕조의 본향으로, 왕실의 정통성과 권력을 상징하는 다양한 문화자원을 보유하고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 전주의 문화자원과 어진박물관을 연계하여 박물관 의 활성화 방안을 모색하는 것을 목표로 한다. 연구의 첫째 목적은 전주에 위치한 조선 왕실 문화자원과 어진박물관의 소장품 현황을 파악하고, 이를 기반으로 연관성과 활용 방안을 설정하는 것 이다. 둘째, 어진박물관의 운영 활성화 방안을 모색하고 구체적인 전략을 제안하는 것이다. 마지막으로, 지역 문화자원 활용 사업의 활성화 방안과 새로운 콘텐츠로의 연계 가능성을 제안하는 것이다. 이를 위해 전주의 조선 왕실 문화자원의 현황을 조사하고, 어진박물관의 운영 현황을 분석하였다. 또한 타 문화시설의 사례를 통해 어진박물관 활성 화에 필요한 방안을 도출하였다. 그 결과 전통 어진 제작과 활용 활성화, 조경묘 개방 및 의례 행사, 어진을 활용한 특성화 콘텐츠 개발, 경기전 수 직자 체험 프로그램, 지역 문화유산 활용 사업 활성화 방안, 야간 관광자원 활용 및 연계 등 다양한 방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 어진박물관의 전시 및 교육 프로그램의 다양화를 통해 방문객 의 만족도를 높이고, 전주의 역사와 문화를 깊이 이해할 수 있는 기회를 제 공하였다. 특히 조선시대 왕실 문화유산을 보다 체계적으로 보존하고 활용 할 수 있는 전략을 제시하여, 전주를 역사와 현대가 공존하는 문화도시로서 의 위상을 강화하는 데 기여할 것이다.

Jeonju-si, located in Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, is well-known as a representative cultural city in South Korea that preserves traditional culture. The Eojin Museum in Jeonju houses important cultural heritage, including the only portrait of King Taejo, the founder of the Joseon Dynasty, and other historical artifacts of the Joseon royal family. Jeonju, as the birthplace of the Joseon Dynasty, holds various cultural resources symbolizing royal legitimacy and authority. This study aims to explore strategies to revitalize the Eojin Museum by linking these cultural resources of Jeonju.
The first objective of this study is to identify and evaluate the current state of Joseon royal cultural resources and the collections of the Eojin Museum in Jeonju, establishing their interconnections and potential uses. The second objective is to propose concrete strategies for the revitalization of the Eojin Museum. The final objective is to suggest ways to enhance the utilization of local cultural resources and explore possibilities for developing new content.
To achieve these objectives, the study investigates the current state of Joseon royal cultural resources in Jeonju and analyzes the operational status of the Eojin Museum. Additionally, it examines case studies from other cultural institutions to derive effective strategies for the Eojin Museum's revitalization. The results include various proposals such as promoting traditional portrait production and utilization, opening and holding ceremonies at Jogyeongmyo, developing specialized content using portraits, implementing experiential programs at Gyeonggijeon, promoting local cultural heritage projects, and utilizing night tourism resources.
This study aims to diversify the exhibitions and educational programs of the Eojin Museum to enhance visitor satisfaction and provide deeper insights into the history and culture of Jeonju. Particularly, by presenting systematic strategies for the preservation and utilization of Joseon royal cultural heritage, the study contributes to reinforcing Jeonju’s status as a cultural city where history and modernity coexist.
