The purpose of this study is to verify the improvement effect of non-structural art therapy on a child with multifaceted problem behaviors. As the study subject, the K boy (5 years old) was selected through an intentional sampling method, and a total of 24 art therapy programs were implemented twice a week for 29 weeks from March to September 2020. Behavioral changes for each session were analyzed based on the art activity process and works. The homeroom teacher of the target child carried out a “problematic behavior test” before and after the program and made a comparison. In addition, the aspects of problematic behavior improvement in the early childhood education institution were examined through participatory observation. The results of the research are as follows. First, in the statistical analysis based on the problematic behavior test, a decrease is noted in the scores of problem behavior for five sub-domains, namely peer relationship, development, basic lifestyle, morality, and emotion. Second, through participatory observation, distraction, social immaturity, hyperactivity, depression, and anxiety are seen to improve or be eliminated with regard to the early childhood education institution. Third, following the art therapy process, behavioral and emotional changes are observed in five stages, namely rejection and interest expression, dissatisfaction with desire and self-emotional expression, self-control and receptive expression, creative expression, and achievement expression
