      To analyze the study a Hwarang of the Japanese occupation is this article independence activist in korea. They are critically reviewing a Hwarang research by Japanese imperialistic scholars. Their research was not merely an argument, but a fight in the academic arena. I think it is only when we realize the difference between the two sides that independent activists ' research is clear.
      Ayukai Fusanoshin said Hwarangdo received blood from the Japanese people, and Mishina Akihide said it was primitive. In response to this historical and ideological distortion, Korea independence activists from the Japanese colonial era harshly criticized them. They are Shin Chae-ho, Jung In-bo, Park No-chul, Lee Byeong-ki and Lee Cheong-won.
      Independent activists stressed that Hwarangdo inherited a tradition since Dangun. This is not a monotonism of history, but an assertion of continuity. It also says that it is based on the principle that Japanese scholars describe Hwarangdo's mind as a combination of the principles of shamanism and daoism, or as an supernatural thought from China. Hwarangdo plays a game in front of the Dangun altar and practices fencing, shooting, horseback wrestling, and exploring perspective and arithmetic, learning music and acting as an astigmatism and sharing in harmony with others in a peaceful settlement, and sharing his glory in a palace. It is not primitive but modern, and represents the thoughts of the Korean people, not the Japanese.
