This study, drawn from the author’s doctoral dissertation, aimed to develop a makeup learning module to strengthen self-care competency among senior women. The module was designed using the National Competency Standards (NCS) and followed the analysis, design, and development phases of the ADDIE model. It integrated theoretical knowledge and practical skills tailored to the physical and motivational characteristics of older adults.
To support independent and accessible learning, an instructional video was produced featuring a real senior model and expert demonstrations.
The video was designed to be visually clear and relatable, allowing for use in face-to-face, online, and distance education formats.
While the module development was completed, implementation and evaluation were not included in this study. Future research should apply the module in real-world settings and assess its effectiveness through learner feedback and expert review. This study provides a foundation for customized beauty education for older adults and suggests broader applicability in lifelong learning contexts.
