설치예술에서 거미 이미지의 초현실 은유에 관한 연구 -루이즈 부르주아의 작품 <Maman>을 중심으로- = A Study on the Surreal Metaphor of Spider Image in Installation Art –Focusing on Louise Bourgeois’s “Maman”–

Spiders have many characteristics as arthropods that exist in the real world. People gave him various meanings in the field of art according to their characteristics. In the field of film, for example, American writer Stan Lee and cartoonist Steve Ditko created the superhero image of Spider-Man by taking advantage of the spider’s characteristics. The image was also adapted into a movie and broadcast to theaters. A very famous artist in the field of modern art used a surrealistic metaphor to perfectly fuse the external image of a spider with his own mental world into his installation work. The artist is Louise Bourgeois.
Installation art is an important art form in which modern artists express emotional ideas. Surrealism is an important art school in Europe in the 1920s, gradually weakening after the outbreak of World War II, and has since been constantly absorbed into other art fields. “Eunyu” is a major feature of surrealism and is often used by artists to create works on surrealism, which brings surrealism back to life in installation art.
In Bourgeois’ installation work <Maman>, he embodies his mother as a spider and uses surreal metaphors to show the audience the complex emotions toward his mother and the childhood sadness behind it.
This study focuses on surreal metaphor expressions in installation art from the perspective of bourgeois spider images, explores the spiritual world of bourgeois by interpreting metaphors in bourgeois installation work <Maman>, effectively demonstrates the role of spider images in installation art, and derives its creative meaning.

거미는 실제 세계에 존재하는 절지동물로서 다양한 특징을 가지고 있다.
사람들은 그 특징들에 따라 예술 분야에서 이 생물에 다양한 의미를 부여했다. 예를 들어 영화 분야에서는 미국 작가 스탠 리(Stan Lee)와 만화가 스티브딧코(Steve Ditko)가 거미의 특징을 살려 스파이더맨이라는 슈퍼히어로 이미지를 만들었다. 또한 이 이미지는 영화로 각색됐고 극장에 방송됐다. 현대예술분야에서는 한 명의 매우 유명한 예술가가 초현실주의적 은유 수법을 이용하여 거미의 외적 이미지와 자신의 정신세계를 그의 설치작품에 완벽하게 융합시켰다. 그 예술가는 루이즈 부르주아(Louise · Bourgeois)이다.
설치예술은 현대 예술가가 감정적 관념을 표현하는 중요한 예술 형식이다. 초현실주의는 1920년대 유럽의 중요한 예술 유파로서 제2차 세계 대전이발발한 후 점차 쇠약해지고, 그 후 다른 예술 분야에 끊임없이 흡수되고 있다.
‘은유’는 초현실주의의 주요 특징으로서 예술가가 초현실주의에 관한 작품을 만들 때 자주 사용되며, 이는 설치예술에서 초현실주의를 다시 생동감 있게 한다. 부르주아의 설치작품 <Maman>에서 그는 엄마를 거미로 형상화하고 초현실적인 은유를 이용해 엄마를 향한 복잡한 감정과 그 이면에 담긴 어린 시절의 슬픔을 관객들에게 보여준다.
본 연구는 부르주아의 거미 이미지의 관점에서 설치예술에서의 초현실적은유 표현을 중점적으로 연구하고, 부르주아의 설치작품 <Maman>에서의 은유를 해석하여 부르주아의 정신세계를 탐구하며, 설치예술에서 거미 이미지의 역할을 효과적으로 논증하고, 그 창작의의를 도출하여 독자가 설치예술과루이즈 부르주아의 예술사상을 더욱 깊이 이해할 수 있도록 한다.
