This study was conducted to analyze the tendency of obesity by subjective evaluation method in measuring the skinfold thickness in adolescents. The validity norms were height, weight, the sum of skinfold thickness, Db1, %Fat1, %Fat2, and BMI. The subjects surveyed were 2,442 boy and girl students of middle and high school in medium and small city and big city. The results are summarized as follows; 1. Weight of adolescents evaluated as obesity was over 76㎏ in boy's middle, over 67㎏ in gril's middle school, over 79㎏ in boy's high school, and over 68㎏ in girl's high school, the sum of skinfold thickness was over 40㎜, over 39㎜, over 54㎜, and over 41㎜ respectively. 2. Except the case of height in girl's middle, boy's high and girl's high school, in height in boy's middle, weight, the skinfold thickness, Db1, %Fat1, %Fat2, and BMI, difference among the degree of obesity evaluated subjectively was significant(p<.05). 3. Except heigh in girl's middle, boy's and girl's high school, correlation between the degree of obesity evaluated subjectively and height in girl's middle school, weight, the sum of skinfold thickness, Db1, %Fat1, %Fat2, BMI respectively was high and significant(p<.01 or p<.001) Therefore, on the basis of above results, I think we can evaluate the tendency of obesity in adolescents validly by subjective evaluation method as well.

This study was carried out to find marketing, storage and harvest of onion in southern parts of Korea from Jan. 1994 to Apr. 1994. Early maturing cultivar harvest between 10th and 20th of May but late maturing cultivar harvest between 10th and 20th of June, this period was busy farming season with a shortage of labor. Early maturing cultivar was send out good directly but late maturing cultivar was send out good after shortage the simple store house with the period 7-9 month, and professional seed production farmer are not in here. We hope that this report stimulates research to investigate for the establishment of not only harvesting practices such as varietal improvement, machanical harvesting and disease resistant variety for the storage.

0.1V강의 표면경도를 향상시키기 위해서 Boronizing처리를 실시하여 Hv=1500∼2000의 높은 경도값을 나타내는 붕화물층을 얻었다. 붕화물층의 두께와 처리시간과의 사이에는 방물선관계를 나타내었으며 붕화물층 생성 겉보기 활성화에너지는 94kJ/mol이다. 또한 900˚C, 3시간 침붕처리했을 때가 가장 높은 경도분포값을 나타내었으며 그 이상 장시간 처리하면 오히려 경도가 감소하는 경향을 나타낸다. 그리고 침붕층은 20% HCl, 20% H₂SO₄용액에서는 뛰어난 내식성을 가지나, 20% HNO₃용액에 대해서는 상대적으로 내식성이 떨어졌다. 그리고 내고온산화성은 대기중 800˚C까지는 침붕처리한 시편이 우수했으나 900˚C부터는 오히려 감소했다. To improve the surface hardness of the 0.1V steel, by Boronizing Treatment, We got boride layer showing high hardness, Hv=1500∼2000. A parabola relationship was appeared between boride layer thickness and treatment time, and apparent activation energy to form the boride layer 94kJ/mol. Moreover, We obtained the most high hardness distribution value when had the boronizing treatment for 3 hours at 900˚C. On the contrary, If we did boronizing treatment above 3 hours, the hardness appeared decreasing tendency. The boride layer had a good corrosion resistance at a solution of 20% HCl and 20% H₂SO₄, but correlatively the corrosion resistance of the boride layer was declined at a solution of 20% HNO₃. And the boronized specimen had a good high temperature oxidation resistance until 800˚C in the atmosphere but the high temperature oxidation resistance go down above 900˚C.

일반적으로 회전기기의 저어널 베어링 부분은 윤활유 공급의 부족이나 윤활층에 이물질이 혼입되면 시스템의 고장이나 가동중단 등의 원인이 되기도 한다. 따라서 베어링 손상에 기인하는 사고와 관련된 안전운전 문제와 유지비용의 절감을 위해 여러가지 파괴 및 비파괴시험법들이 사용되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 저어널 베어링에서 가장 발생하기 쉬운 윤활층에의 이물질이 혼입에 의해 야기되는 베어링 파손의 조기검출을 위해 음향방출 기술을 적용하였으며, 전보의 연구에 이어 좀더 정량적이고 체계적인 실험을 수행하였다. 실험실용으로 직접 제작한 모의베어링 시스템을 이용하여 여러 형태의 인위적인 이물질 흔입 상태를 만들어 실험하였으며 베어링 손상 및 결함 형태의 해석을 위해 AE rms level, 파형분석, AE 변수 등의 여러 파라메터를 사용하여 분석 고찰하였다. 그 결과 AE rms level의 변화가 이물질 흔입의 영향에 민감함을 보여주었으며 AE변수등 다른 정보들로부터 손상 원일별로 신호형태를 확인할 수 있었다. Journal bearings in the rotating machineries are vulnerable to the contamination or the insufficient supply of lubricating oil, which is likely to be the cause of unexpected shutdown or malfunction of these systems. Various destructive and nondestructive testing methods had been used for the reduction of maintenance cost and the operational safety problems due to the accidents related to bearing damages. In this experimental approach, acoustic emission monitoring in employed to the detection of incipient failure caused by intervention of foreign particles most probable in the journal bearing systems. Experimental schedules for the intervention of foreign particles was composed to be more quantitative and systematic than last study in consideration of minimum oil film thickness and particle size . The experiment was conducted under such designed conditions as inserting alumina particles to the lubrication layer in the simulated journal bearing system. Several parameters such as AE rms level, waveform, AE energy distribution and other AE event parameter are used for analysis and characterization of damage source. The results showed that the history of damage was well correlated with the changes of AE rms level and the types of damage source signal can be verified using other informations such an waveform, distribution of AE parameter etc.

As demands for micro parts are on the increase in recent industries such as aerospace, biomedical, electronics, environment, information technology and display, the need for manufacturing such parts is also increasing. Major methods of manufacturing micro parts are based on semiconductor process technology such as lithography and etching and non-traditional machining using lasers, ultrasonic, ion-beams or electrical discharge. However, these methods require lots of time, workpiece materials are limited, and such methods are only applicable to the machining of two-dimensional shapes. Therefore, mechanical machining methods are required for the manufacturing of micro parts with complex shapes. This paper presents an investigation on the characteristics for micro groove machining by using the ultrahigh-speed air turbine spindle, and verifies the properties of mechanical method in fabricating molds for micro barrier ribs. As a result, the optimal machining condition could be found from the investigation of surface roughness according to the kinds of burr shapes in the fabricating of iron mold by using micro endmill.

제주도 전역에서 채집한 59점의 토양시료로부터 총 938주의 방선균을 분리하였다. 분리된 각 균주의 형태적, 생리적 특성을 조사하고 이를 기준으로 속명을 동정하므로써 제주도 지역 토양 방선균의 속 다양성을 비교하였다. 그 결과 Streptomyces 속 방선균이 62.6%를 차지하였으며 Micromonospora 속은 16.4%, Nocardioform 군은 8.6%, Actinomadura 속은 2.2%, Microbispora 속은 1.0% 나머지 Streptosporangium 속은 5.9%이었다. 토양 환경별로 보면, 초지에는 Streptomyces 속과 Micromonospora 속 균주가 풍부하였고, 밭에는 Streptomyces 속과 Micromonospora 속 균주가 풍부하였고, 산림에는 Micromonospora 속과 기타 속 균주가 풍부하였으며 기타 지역과 더불어 방선균의 속 다양성이 풍부한 편이었다. 그리고 특히 자연 동굴 토양에서는 Streptomyces 속의 분포 비율이 높지 않았으며 상대적으로 Nocardioform 균주의 분포 비율이 특히 높았다. Total 938 actinomyete strains were isolated from 58 soil samples collected at Cheju island. All of these isolates were identified to the genus level based on morphological and physiological characteristics. As the result, 62.6% of those isolates were Streptomyces, 16.4% were Micromonospora, 8.6% were Nocardioform group, 2.2% were Actinomadura, 1.7% were Microbispora, 1.6% were Nocardiopsis, 1.0% were Streptosporangium, and 5.9% were the others. As the sources of soil, Streptomyces and Microbispora were abundant in grassland soil, Streptomyces and Micromonospora were abundant in field soil, and Micromonospora were abundant in forest soil. Especially, Nocardioform strains were abundant in natural caves.
후방복사된 초음파를 이용한 12Cr강 부식 피로특성 평가

화력발전 플랜트의 터빈 블레이드(blade) 재료인 12Cr 합금강의 고속 열화 시편에 대한 레일리(Rayleigh) 표면탄성파의 산란과 속도의 주파수 의존특성을 액체/고체 경계 면에서 표면파의 발생기구에 의해 나타나는 후방복사 초음파 세기의 입사각 의존성으로 간접 평가하고 부식피로 특성과 비교 분석하였다. 후방복사 현상이 발생하는 입사각 폭은 부식온도와 반비례하였으며 이는 효과적 부식층의 두께 증가로 설명되었다. 이 프로파일의 폭은 피로시험에서 균열성장 관계식인 파리스(Paris) 법칙의 지수 m과 선형적으로 반비례하여 열화시편의 부식 피로 특성의 비파괴적 평가에 있어 후방복사된 초음파를 이용한 기술이 매우 유용함을 보여주었다. The corrosion-fatigue characteristics of the 12Cr steel, which is widely used in fossil power plants as a turbine blade material, are evaluated nondestructively by use of the Rayleigh surface wave. In this study, the frequency dependency of the Rayleigh surface wave is investigated indirectly by measuring the angular dependency of the backward radiation of the incident ultrasonic wave in the aged specimens, and then compared to the corrosion-fatigue characteristics. The width of the backward radiation profile decreases as the increase of the aging temperature, which seems to result from the increase of the effective degrading layer thickness. This parameter also shows an inversely proportionality to the exponent, m, in the Paris law which predicts the crack size increasement due to fatigue. The result observed in this study demonstrates high potential of the backward radiated ultrasound as a tool for the nondestructive evaluation of the corrosion-fatigue characteristics of the aged materials.

The purpose of this study was analyze children's Physical Fitness and basic rate by observing the change in the heart rate of the 1230 children of five of six years of age. Following conclusions were obtained The muscular strength was relatively low according to places. And the muscular strength of boys was higher than that of girls. The flexibility of girls was higher than that of boys according to places and sexes. The muscular endurance, power, balance and agility of boys were higher than those of girls according to places and sexes. Thus the development of physical fitness was improved with their ages, the physical fitness for physique seemed rather low. So the programs of physical plays for children's physical fitness ought to be developed and physical play showed to be done at kindergarten school.
몇 가지 항진균제가 Aspergillus fumigatus에 의한 대식세포의 Cytokine 생산에 미치는 영향

배경 : 현재 임상에서 사용되는 서로 다른 계열의 항진균제가 면역세포인 폐 대식세포(alveolar macrophage)에서의 cytokine 생산과 nuclear factor- κB (NF- κB)활성에 미치는 영향을 시험관내에서 파악하고 그 의미를 추론해 보고자 하였다. 재료 및 방법 : AmB, MF, ITZ 등 세 가지 항진균제가 쥐의 폐 대식세포인 RAW264.7 세포의 생존에 미치는 영향과, 이들 항진균제의 전처치가 Aspergillus fumigatus conidia 자극에 의한 RAW264.7 세포에서의 TNF-α, IL-10 생산, NF-κB 활성에 미치는 영향, 그리고 GMCSF와의 상승 작용 등을 WST-1, ELISA, western blot assay를 이용해 통해 측정하였다. 결과 : AmB, MF, ITZ 모두 농도 의존적으로 RAW264.7 세포의 생존을 감소시켰다. A. fumigatus conidia 자극으로 RAW264.7 세포에서 TNF-α 생산이 증가하였으며, 세포 생존에 영향을 미치지 않는 농도의 AmB를 전처치하고 conidia로 자극한 경우 TNP-α 생산에는 차이를 보이지 않았으나, MF와 ITZ을 전처치한 경우에는 TNF-α 생산이 감소하였다. GM-CSF는 AmB 전처치 및 A. fumigatus conidia 자극에 의한 TNF-α 생산에 상승 효과를 보였으나, MF, ITZ은 GM-CSF에 의한 상승 효과를 보이지 않았다. IL-10은 AmB에 의해 생산량이 증가하였으며 GM-CSF와 동시 투여시 IL-10 생산이 유의하게 상승하였다. MF와 ITZ 역시 RAW264.7 세포에서 IL-10 생산을 유도하였으나 AmB에 비해 상승폭이 적었으며 GM-CSF와의 상승 효과는 관찰되지 않았다. A. fumigatus conidia는 NF- κB를 활성화하였으며 항진균제와 GM-CSF 등 약제 처치에 따른 NF-κB의 활성 정도는 분비된TNF-α와 IL-10의 생산 정도와 상관관계를 보였다. 결론 : AmB, MF, ITZ 등 본 연구에 사용된 항진균제는 시험관내에서 A. fumigatus conida로 자극하는 RAW264.7 세포에 전처치함으로써 염증성 cytokine인 TNF-α의 생산을 감소시키고 항염증성 cytokine인 IL-10의 생산을 증가시키는 면역 조절 효과를 나타낼 수 있음이 관찰되었다. 추후 약제간의 면역조절 기능 차이가 항진균효과에 미치는 영향 및 약제에 따른 면역 조절 경로 등에 대한 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다. Background : We wanted to evaluate the immunomodulatory effect of three antifungal agents, amphotericin B (AmB), micafungin (MF), itraconazole (ITZ), in the aspect of cytokine production and expression of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) in the Aspergillus fumigatus conidia treated-RAW264.7 cells, a murine alveolar macrophage cell line. Materials and Methods : We evaluated cytotoxic effect of antifungal agents using commercial cell proliferation assay. Tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α and interleukin (IL)-10 production according to stimulation (control, A. fumigatus conidia only, conidia + antifungal drug, conidia + antifungal drug + GM-CSF) was evaluated and compared each using commercial ELISA method. NF-κB activation was evaluated by western blot analysis. Results : AmB, MF, ITZ showed dose-dependent cytotoxic effect on the tested cells. Stimulation of cells by A. fumigatus conidia induced TNF-α production. Pretreatment of AmB at concentration not affecting cellular survival did not change the production of TNF-α compared to conidia treated cells, but pretreament of MF or ITZ showed reduced amount of TNF-α production compared to conidia treated cells. AmB also showed synergistic effect on TNF-α production when simultaneously treated with GM-CSF. IL-10 production was markedly increased when the cells were treated with AmB with conidia. MF and ITZ induced less increase of IL-10 production than AmB. AmB also showed synergistic effect on the production of IL-10 when treated with GM-CSF simultaneously. A. fumigatus conidia enhanced expression of NF-κB. The degree of NF-κB expression was associated with the amount of TNF-α and IL-10 produced. Conclusion : The antifungal agents we used in this experiment showed that decreased TNF-α production and increased IL-10 production from the RAW264.7 cells stimulated by A. fumigatus conidia after pretreatment of antifungal agents. But more studies, such as the association between immunomodulatory effect, antifungal activity and difference of signal pathway of cellular activation according to drugs should be performed.
토지이용의 효율성 제고에 관한 연구 : 묘지공원의 개선방안을 중심으로 on the cemetery park

As unbanization and population have been increasing, cometerys have caused a lot of social problems. In order to improve these, a cemetery park with various functions like cemetery and park should be made. A cemetery park can provide neighboring people as well as cemetery users with spaces for relaxation and graves. Therefore the purpose of this study is to suggest basic directions for efficient policy which can change people's way of thinking about a propitious grave site and form new land culture. The conclusions are : First, in the aspect of system, laws related to burial and cemetery-grave size, and structures-should be changed in pace with people's consiousness and the rationalization of land. Second, in the aspect of administration, roads to cemetery parks, landscape and facilities should be prepared. And the plan should be made which neglected or unknown graves can be checked to be put in charnel. Besides by analyzing good and bad points of old cemetery, better ones should be made. It should take the department concerned and experts to manage the efficient policy for cemetery. Third, in the aspect of people's consciousness constant publicity activites about the efficient use of land will help to solve a sense of incompatibility caused by using excessive use of cemetery. Fourth, as this research shows, enough greenbelt and parking areas must be prepared with landscape, facilities and management improved.
