The Catalytic activities of domestic kaolines treated with hydrochloric and sulfuric acid were checked by the cracking of n-pentane, propane and disproportionation reaction of toluene. Proportionality between the acidity of acid treated kaoline measured by Hara's method and specific reaction rate of disproportionation of toluene and decomposition of n-pentane was observed.

Zeolites Y ion-exchanged with cation of transition metals were tested for oxidation reaction. For the oxidation of carbon monoxide by Zeolite Co(II)Y, Fe(II)Y, Ni(II)Y, Cr(III)Y and Mn(II)Y, rate equations obtained are as follows. V^-(co)=k P¹o P^0co for Ni( II )Y V^-(co)=k' P^n_o₂ P^0co Cr(III)Y, Fe(II)Y, Co(II))Y V^-(co)=k" P¹o₂ P^3co Mn(II)Y Mechanism of Twigg-Redeal type which carbon monoxide adsorbe chemically and oxygen arrive on the surface as gas phase was also proposed. Activation energies of the above transition metal Zeolites were measured at the temperature range of 200-400℃ to discuss the mechanism.

NaA , CaA 및 Alumina 상에서 Dichlorodifluoromethane 중의 수분의 흡착분리 특성

Dichlorodifluoromethane中에 含有되어 있는 微量의 水分을 選擇 吸着하는데 效果的인 吸着劑를 검토하기 위해 제올라이트 A와 活性알루미나상에서 물의 吸着 및 脫着特性과 破過曲線을 測定·硏究하였다. 가스크로마토그라프에 의해 低壓領域에서 吸着等溫線과 昇溫 熱脫着曲線을 구하였으며 이로부터 구한破過曲線으로부터 分子瀘過作用을 하는 제올라이트 A가 活性알루미나보다 dichlorodifluoromethane중에 함유된 水分의 分離效果가 좋음을 알았다. CaA가 NaA보다 吸着容量은 컸으며 脫着에서는 NaA가 더 容易한 것을 확인하였다. The adsorption and desorption properties of water and breakthrough curves of dichlorodifluoromethane-water system were measured on zeolite NaA, CaA, and activated alumina to see the adsorption characteristics, which are effective for the separation of water from dichlorodifluoromethane-water mixture gas. The adsorption isotherms at low equilibrium pressure and the temperature programmed desorption curves of water were measured by gas chromatography. The separation of water from dichloroditluoromethane on molecular sieving zeolite A has been found to be more effective than on activated alumina by comparing breakthrough curves which were determined from the measured isotherms. It may be ascertained that NaA is the most effective adsorbent from a standpoint of the regeneration by desorption process, although CaA adsorbs water more than NaA.

일련의 알미늄함량을 달리하는 알미늄抽出 "제오라이트"에 대한 窒素吸着等溫線을 液體 窒素 溫度에서 구하고 "랑그미야" 및 "듀비닌-아스타코부"의식에 의하여 해석하였다. 吸着點에는 두가지 종류가 있으며 알미늄 抽出 "제오라이트"의 有效細孔容積은 단위세포당 알미늄원자수가 35 정도에서 극대치를 가지며 그의 實細孔容積은 "제오라이트"의 결정구조가 파괴될 때까지 증가한다. 또한 몇 가지 알미늄함량의 다른 시료에 대하여 열저항성을 비교하였다. The adsorption isotherms of nitrogen on the aluminium-extracted zeolites containing different aluminium contents in series were obtained at the temperature of liquid nitrogen and analysed by utilizing Langmuir's and Dubinin-Astakhov's equation. These give rise to the conclusion that there are two types of adsorption site, and effective micropore volume of aluminium-extracted zeolites have a maximum value at about 35 aluminium atoms per unit cell but real volumes of the solids increase linearly with decreasing aluminium atom until the corruption of zeolite crystal structure is reached. The properties of thermal resistance for some aluminium-extracted zeolites were compared to one another.
