        탑의 조형성을 형상화한 도자조형 연구 -탑과 연구작품의 수직구조를 중심으로-

        This study is on ceramic sculpture embodying formativeness of pagoda which is a verticalstructure. The purpose of this study is to trace morphometric characteristics and inherentmeanings of pagoda through historical consideration and to seek a new technique in makinglarge-scale ceramic sculptures through comparative analysis of the production techniques. Pagoda was built originally from human being's dearest wish. In Buddism, pagoda hasdeveloped as an object of worship by men longing for welfare in the uncertain future and peaceafter death. Regarding morphometric characteristics, pagoda is a vertical structure whichconsists of odd number-story main body wherein each story is quadrilateral or octagonal. It isfound that pagoda represents Yin-yang and five elements of the universe in its form. Regardingproduction techniques, the comparative analysis reveals similarities in a manner that bothpagoda and the researcher's sculptures are completed by piling up from the base and differencesoriginated from properties of matter, that is, stone and clay. In the contemporary ceramicartwork, dessication cracks and plasticity cracks can be increased as the size of sculpture getslager. Therefore, this study is to suggest a production method to resolve such problem. Theresearcher studies a technique to disperse the weight concentrated on the lower section of thesculpture and produces artworks through his own variable mold technique. As a result, theresearcher was able to eliminate cracks on the sculptures on which the researchers' variablemold is singularly used and is mixed wih gypsum mold. Meanwhile, the researcher studiesparallels between inherent directivity of pagoda and thematic consciousness pursued in hisvertical art form reaching up toward the heavens. The vertical formativeness of pagoda hasassociation with the formativeness of large-scale ceramic sculptures produced by the researcher. 본 연구는 수직적 구조인 탑의 조형성을 형상화한 도자조형에 대한 연구이다. 탑의 형태적 특성과 내재된 의미를역사적 고찰을 통해 탐색하고, 탑의 제작기법과 연구자의 제작기법을 비교분석하여 대형 도자조형의 새로운 제작기법을 모색하는데 목적이 있다. 탑은 인간의 발원심에서 시작되어 제작되었다. 불교에서 탑은 불확실한 미래에대한 안녕과 사후의 평안에 대한 염원을 경배하는 대상물의 하나로 발전해왔다. 탑의 형태적 특징은 수직적 구조물의 형상으로, 탑신부는 홀수층으로 탑의 외형은 사각형 또는 팔각형 등 짝수로 이루어져있다. 이를 통해 탑의 형태가 음양오행의 의미를 상징하고 있음을 알아볼 수 있었다. 연구자의 도자조형물과 석탑의 제작방법을 비교 분석한 결과, 하단인 기단부에서 상단으로 쌓아 완성되는 제작기법의 유사함을 발견하였고, 점토와 석재의 물성차이로인한 제작기법의 차이점도 분석하였다. 현대 도자조형작업에서 작품이 커질수록 건조 균열과 소성 균열이 상대적으로 많이 발생한다. 따라서 본 연구는 대형 도자작업에서의 문제 개선을 위한 제작방법을 제안하고자 한다. 연구자는 작품의 하단부로 집중되는 하중을 분산하는 제작방법으로 가변틀 기법을 연구하여 작품을 제작하였다. 그 결과, 연구자의 가변틀 방식과 기존의 석고틀 방식을 혼용 또는 단독으로 제작한 조형물들에서 대형 도자조형물의물리적 한계로 빈번히 나타나는 건조 수축과 소성 수축으로 인한 균열의 정도가 현격히 감소하였음을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 연구자는 탑의 형태와 근간을 이루는 수직적 도자 조형물의 제작을 통해 탑에 내재된 정신적 지향점이본 연구자의 작품에서 추구하는 주제의식과의 유사성을 연구하였다. 그 결과, 고대로부터 현재까지 이어온 탑의조형성이 연구자의 대형 도자 조형물의 조형성과 연관성을 가지고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

        SiGe 에피 공정기술을 이용하여 제작된 초 접합 금속- 산화막 반도체 전계 효과 트랜지스터의 시뮬레이션 연구

        In this paper, we propose a super-junction MOSFET (SJ MOSFET) fabricated through a simple pillar forming process by varying the Si epilayer thickness and doping concentration of pillars using SILVACO TCAD simulation. The design of the SJ MOSFET structure is presented, and the doping concentration of pillar, breakdown voltage (VBR) and drain current are analyzed. The device performance of conventional Si planar metal-oxide semiconductor field-effect transistor(MOSFET), Si SJ MOSFET, and SiGe SJ MOSFET was investigated. The p- and n-pillars in Si SJ MOSFET suppressed the punch-through effect caused by drain bias. This lead to the higher VBR and reduced on resistance of Si SJ MOSFET. An increase in the thickness of Si epilayer and decrease in the former is most effective than the latter. The implementation of SiGe epilayer to SJ MOSFET resulted in the improvement of VBR as well as drain current in saturation region, when compared to Si SJ MOSFET. Such a superior device performance of SiGe SJ MOSFET could be associated with smaller bandgap of SiGe which facilitated the drift of carriers through lower built-in potential barrier.

        In this paper, a video conferencing system, which has been attracting significant attention as an immersive telepresence service owing to the recent emergence of 5G networks, is described. We propose a service platform for Giga Media based video conferencing for 5G convergence services. The video conferencing service consists of a traditional structure that provides information exchange through the transmission of video and voice of remote participants using a Multipoint Control Unit (MCU), a browser-based video conferencing based on WebRTC, a multi-view point video conferencing, and holographic telepresence centered on mixed reality. The paper introduces the trends and detailed structures of various technologies used in the video conferencing system, and compares the video conferencing system technologies and video conferencing service characteristics for the integrated Giga Media platform.

        Development of a Software Program for the Automatic Calculation of the Pulp/Tooth Volume Ratio on the Cone-Beam Computed Tomography

        Purpose: The aim of this study was to develop an automated software to extract tooth and pulpal area from sectional cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images, which can guarantee more reproducible, objective and time-saving way to measure pulp/tooth volume ratio. Methods: The software program was developed using MATLAB (MathWorks). To determine the optimal threshold for the region of interest (ROI) extraction, user interface to adjust the threshold for extraction algorithm was added. Default threshold was determined after several trials to make the outline of extracted ROI fitting to the tooth and pulpal outlines. To test the effect of starting point location selected initially in the pulpal area on the final result, pulp/tooth volume ratio was calculated 5 times with different 5 starting points. Results: Navigation interface is composed of image loading, zoom-in, zoom-out, and move tool. ROI extraction process can be shown by check in the option box. Default threshold is adjusted for the extracted tooth area to cover whole tooth including dentin, cementum, and enamel. Of course, the result can be corrected, if necessary, by the examiner as well as by changing the threshold of density of hard tissue. Extracted tooth and pulp area are reconstructed three-dimensional (3D) and pulp/tooth volume ratio is calculated by voxel counting on reconstructed model. The difference between the pulp/tooth volume ratio results from the 5 different extraction starting points was not significant. Conclusions: In further studies based on a large-scale sample, the most proper threshold to present the most significant relationship between age and pulp/tooth volume ratio and the tooth correlated with age the most will be explored. If the software can be improved to use whole CBCT data set rather than just sectional images and to detect pulp canal in the original 3D images generated by CBCT software itself, it will be more promising in practical uses.

        시장분할기법을이용한 통행시간가치산정에관한연구 : 수도권지역의승용차운전자를중심으로

        In Korea, even though various factors have influence on the value of travel time, the guideline for road project appraisal doesn't take into account those factors and could bring distorted results. In this context, this paper aims to identify influencing factors on the value of travel time and to propose efficient and adequate standards for the value of travel time on road project appraisal. In order to identify influencing factors on the value of travel time, interview surveys were carried out on the Cheonan-Nonsan expressway, which was the second road project initiated by private financing in Korea, as well as for the metropolitan area. SP(Stated Preference) data obtained through these interview surveys enabled an estimate of discrete choice models according to market segmentation, which made it possible to identify influencing factors on the value of travel time, and proposed the value of travel time for car users. The results reveal that the values of travel time for toll road users and capital area residents are relatively higher than those of free road users and non-capital area residents. In this study, it was analyzed that income level, length of travel time and time saving/loss were key factors with impact on the value of travel time. It may be recommendable that the discriminated value of travel time reflecting travelers' behavior and location characteristics should be fully exploited for road projects.
