Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanorods were grown on a palladium (Pd) activated polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fiber where Pd activation was carried out in advance by the following dry process: palladium(II) bis(acetylacetonate), $Pd(acac)_2$ was sublimed, penetrated into the surface of PAN fiber and spontaneously reduced to Pd nanoparticles at $180^{\circ}C$ for various times under a nitrogen atmosphere. ZnO nanorod morphology was observed by a scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and the elemental composition was confirmed by energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). The crystalline structure of ZnO nanorods was analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis showing Wurtzite structure consisting of hexagonal lattice. Sulfur removal characteristics were evaluated.

User authentication scheme is a method for controlling unauthorized users' access to securely share the services and resources provided by the server and for verifying users with access rights. Initial user authentication scheme was based on passwords. Nowadays, various authentication schemes such as ID based, smart-card based, and attribute based are being researched. The study of Lee et al. suggested a user authentication scheme that provides forward secrecy and protects anonymity of users. However, it is vulnerable to attacks by outsiders and attackers who have acquired smart-cards. In this paper, we propose a modified smart-card authentication scheme to complement the weakness of the previous studies. The proposed user authentication scheme provides the security for the ID guessing attack and the password guessing attacks of the attacker who obtained the login request message and the user's smart-card.
동일본 대지진 당시 일본의 비상 발령 및 주민대피에 관한 실태 조사와 시사점 도출: 문헌조사연구

Purpose: This study seeks to draw out implications that must be considered in the process of establishing measures to evacuate residents in preparation for domestic nuclear disasters by conducting an investigation about the disaster situation at the time of the Fukushima nuclear power plant explosion, emergency warning situation for residents protection, evacuation situation and In addition to investigating problems and measures raised in the resident protection system at that time. Method: A literature survey was conducted focusing on reports published by Japan's national, parliament, local governments and related agencies from right after the Great East Japan Earthquake to the present. Result: Found out what needs to be considered in the process of establishing domestic radiation disaster measures through the results of the survey on the problems and countermeasures derived from the process of evacuation of residents at the time of the Fukushima nuclear power plant explosion. Conclusion: The reviews were classified into four categories and detailed reviews were presented.

The optimal structure of 1-3 piezocomposites has been determined by controlling polymer properties, ceramic volume fraction, thickness of composite and aspect ratio of the composite to maximize the TVR (transmitting voltage response), RVS (receiving voltage sensitivity) and FBW (fractional bandwidth) of underwater acoustic transducers. Influence of the design variables on the transducer performance was analyzed with equivalent circuits and the finite element method. When the piezocomposite is vibrating in a pure thickness mode, inter-pillar resonant modes are likely to occur between lattice-structured piezoceramic pillars and polymer matrix, which significantly deteriorate the performance of the piezocomposite. In this work, a new method to design the structure of the 1~3 type piezocomposite was proposed to maximize the TVR, RVS and FBW while preventing the occurrence of the inter-pillar modes. Genetic algorithm was used in the optimal design.

The number of controllers fitted continues to increase as the functional requirements of the vehicle become more advanced. Controller area network (CAN), CAN with flexible data rate and Ethernet are used to exchange information between controllers. Central communication unit (CCU) was developed to manage the entire network and the information transmission between hybrid networks. CCU is capable of connecting the vehicles internal and external networks using modems as well as the internal network. Therefore, vehicle to everything (V2X), over the air (OTA) and vehicle remote control functions can also be fused. The difficulty of system evaluation also increases because the functions of CCU become more complex. CCU is connected to all communication networks in the vehicle and receives hundreds of inputs via communication. If only certain signal values are monitored, it is easy to know whether they are normal or not. However, it is difficult to intuitively check whether the output values are normal when the entire input changes at the same time. In this paper, we propose a CCU automation assessment reinforcement method based on generative adversarial neural network (GAN) to overcome the limitations of rulebased system evaluations. The proposed system uses time series GAN to generate input signals similar to the actual vehicle. In addition, abnormality detection method is used to determine probability of abnormalities in CCU. To verify the proposed method, by using signals acquired from actual vehicles, an experiment is conducted to determine if there are any new problems by regenerating the input signal of CCU. It improves CCU system evaluation reliability since it increases test coverage a lot.

We propose a LCD control method based on variable dithering to reduce image sticking caused by orientation change. The proposed method changes dithering patterns to alter the crystal orientation when the image is still and inserts a middle image to remove flicker. Also, the auto light function is implemented by limiting the maximum gradation level and the backlight luminance to change pixel brightness and increasing the dithering pattern size to compensate the reduction in the number of gradation steps. To verify the suggested method, an Ioniq image is used. The analysis results based on the Weibull distribution shows that the proposed method provides the 257% lower probability of the image retention occurrence.
하이브리드 차량의 연비 예측을 위한 파워트레인 구동 및 시뮬레이션

기후 변환에 따라 전세계적으로 자동차 연비 규제가 강화되고 HEV 차종이 증가되는 가운데 시장에서의 연비 경쟁은 가속화되고 있다. 특히 HYBRID 파워트레인 시스템의 복합적인 거동이 고려된 HEV 제어기의 구동제어전략은 연비와 성능을 위해 개선되고 있다. 따라서 차종 별 검증 단계에서 제어 SOFTWARE에 대한 연비 예측 평가가 요구되며 ECU HILS(Hardware In-the Loop System) 검증을 위해서는 대상 차량에 대한 검증환경 개발이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 차량 연비 예측을 이한 파워트레인 구성 요소의 기능 및 시뮬레이션 분석을 제시하고 ADVISOR (ADVISOR Vehicle Simulator) 기반으로 IONIQ HYBRID 차량을 구성하여 연비 예측 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다.
Radial-Basis Function Networks를 이용한 영상 압축 방법

본 논문에서는 인간 시지각을 고려한 새로운 영상 압축 방법을 제시한다. 영상의 화소의 값들이 x-y 평면상에서 정의된 3차원 곡면 위에 있는 점들로 가정하여, 영상을 곡면의 복잡도에 따라 나누고, 나누어진 각각의 곡면(영역)은 Radial-Basis Function (RBF)를 사용하여 근사화하는 방법으로 영상을 압축한다. 본 방법은 JPEG 압축 방법과 비슷한 압축율과 영상의 질을 얻을 수 있었다. In this paper, a novel image compression technique is proposed, which takes human visual perception into account. Pixel values (intensity) are considered to be points on a three-dimensional surface defined on the x-y plane. The image is partitioned according to the complexity of the surface, and then each partitioned surface is approximated using Radial-Basis Functions(RBF). This method is very efficient and has comparable performance and quality of JPEG image compression technique.
