대우고등기술연구원 이수상 책임연구원이 '광학세계' 독자들을 위해서 광학부품 제조의 전 과정, 가공별 특징, 공정별 주의사항을 정리한 내용이다. 지난 6월 28일 열린 '99 광기술교육'(인하대학교 광기술교육센터 주최)에서 강의한 '정밀광학부품의 제작' 가운데 현장에서 필요한 '가공 공정'부분을 쉽게 이해하고 활용할수 있도록 이수상 연구원이 다시 설명을 덧붙였다. 이번 호에 이어서 11월호까지 2회에 나눠서 연재한다.

This study intends to develop R&D policy agendas that are required to prepare a smart library/smart society in Korea libraries. To the end, methodology was established to explore policy issues and agenda for library R&D, and the preliminary agendas were drawn from informetrics, subject analysis, and brainstorming techniques. Then, the preliminary agendas were revised through supplementary works, such as the comprehensive investigation into research papers and the recent research projects. Based on the results, evaluation for the R&D agendas was performed. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method was used as a structured technique for analyzing the importance and the priority of the agendas. This study can be used for improving and/or expanding quality of information services in Korean libraries and for exploring the requirements to play a crucial role in the future society. 본 연구의 목적은 스마트 사회/스마트 세대를 위한 스마트 도서관을 지향하기 위해 필요한 우리나라 도서관의 정책적 과제들을 발굴하는 데 있다. 이러한 목적을 위해 본 연구에서는 도서관 R&D 정책과제 탐색을 위한 방법론을 정립하고, 계량정보 분석 방법과 주제분석 방법, 브레인스토밍 기법을 활용하여 도서관 분야의 유망과제를 발굴하는 작업을 수행하였다. 이렇게 하여 도출한 도서관 R&D 유망과제 예비 리스트는 연구팀의 브레인스토밍과 전문가 평가를 통해 최종 과제화 되었다. 또한, 본 연구에서 도출한 최종 과제의 중요도를 산출하기 위해 전문가에 의한 AHP 분석 작업을 수행하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 우리나라 도서관 정보서비스의 질적 향상뿐만 아니라 미래의 변화를 스스로 주도할 수 있는 지적 기반의 마련을 위한 R&D 과제 개발 및 이행을 위한 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

Information literacy which is related various forms of literacy can be defined as a vital competency of individuals in digital based knowledge information society. This basic survey research is aimed to assess information literacy level of the undergraduate students. For this study a proper model of information literacy is used which based 5 Performance processes and 12 performance abilities. The result of this survey is as follows: 1) Among the S performance process elements.'result evaluation' element showed high level competency than other elements. 2) There were high correlations within performance Process elements and performance ability elements. 3) Those items such as academic grade, first experience of information retrieval, and experience of information literacy instruction affect the difference in the level of information literacy.

학술정보 유통에 있어 OAI프로토콜의 적용에 관한 연구

The OAI(Open Archives Initiative) is an evolving protocol and philosophy regarding interoperability for digital libraries. This protocol has its roots in an effort to enhance access to digital libraries as a means of increasing the availability of scholarship communication. Thus, this research outlines the history of the OAI protocol, the basic model of SP(service provider)/DP(data provider), and the prerequisites to implement the OAI protocol. Viewed in this light, this paper also describes the experiences of KERIS project of SP/DP model and lists the differences between prerequisites and KERIS case.

과학기술정보를 위한 특수문자 표기법 표준화에 관한 연구

The encoding schemes of special characters in science & technology information services are always serious matters. Therefore, this paper draw up a general plan for encoding scheme of special characters related in some way. For this work, I have made an investigation into encoding cases of KISTI'S YesKisti service. And I have reviewed the important issues and standardization trends. Finally, this study proposes some requisites and problems for encoding scheme standard of special characters in science & technology information services.

최근 지속적으로 증가하고 있는 학술지 비용의 압박에 의해 도서관은 심각한 위기상황을 직면하고 있다. 도서관으로서는 학술지 종수의 삭감이나 대폭적인 예산 증액과 같은 조치를 취하든지, 새로운 학술지 유통 모델을 개발하든지 하는 결정을 해야 할 형편이다. 이 논문은 후자의 관점에 따라, 새롭게 등장하고 있는 학술유통 체제와 관련된 여러 가지 활동들을 고찰하고, 그것의 실천적인 모델인 개방접근 디지털도서관의 사례와 핵심기능에 대하여 고찰하고 있다. 새로운 학술유통 체제는 학술기관의 학술적 권위를 회복하고, 개방접근을 통한 학술자원의 공공성을 확보하고, 디지털 시대의 새로운 학술유통 모델로서 역할을 수행할 수 있을 것이다.

중국 유학생의 대학도서관 포털 서비스 만족도에 관한 연구

본 연구는 다문화사회에 있어 대학도서관의 역할과 책임을 모색하고자 하는 목적으로 진행하였다. 조사내용은 부산대학교에 유학중인 중국학생을 대상으로 현재의 도서관 포털 서비스에 대한 이용자 만족도를 분석하는 작업이다. 이용자 만족도 평가방법은 도서관 정보서비스 품질평가 모형으로 유명한 LibQUAL+를 참조하여 구성하였으며, 평가지표는 LibQUAL+ 모형의 평가지표와 중국 청화대학교에서 사용한 서비스 만족도 평가지표를 사용하였다. 조사결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 전체적인 이용자 만족도는 대체적으로 낮게 나타났다. 학부생과 대학원생(석박사 과정)의 집단별로 보면, 대학원생(석박사 과정)보다 학부생의 만족도가 낮게 나타났다. 그리고 서비스의 간단만족도 분석에서 보면 도서관 포털 서비스의 영향에 대한 만족도는 낮은 수준이며, 웹 공간 차원에 대한 만족도는 높은 수준으로 나타났다. 그리고 상대만족도도 웹 공간 차원이 다른 차원들보다 높은 수준으로 나타났다. This study deals with the role and responsibility of university library in multicultural society. For this purpose, centered the Chinese students in Pusan University, with internet questionnaire surveys on customer satisfaction to the current library portal service and set up a effective digital library evaluation model. In the meanwhile we borrowed evaluation methods and items from LibQUAL+ in part, a world wide famous model, and use Tsinghua University Library‘s evaluation statistic norms. To summarize the results of this survey, Chinese student’s service satisfaction about Pusan University library is still fairly low. Undergraduate and graduate students(including doctor courses) group follows, undergraduates student’s satisfaction level is lower than graduate. By analyzing simple satisfaction we can know that library portal service maintained low importance or influence to the user, to internet space user’s satisfaction is a relatively high level. And compared with other dimension, statistic data show out that internet space user’s satisfaction still maintained a relative high level.

최근 전자도서관 구축과 관련된 주요 이슈는 상호운용이 가능한 개방형 전자도서관을 어떻게 구현할 것인가 하는 문제에 집중되고 있다. 따라서 이를 위한 여러 가지 개념, 기반기술, 프로토콜 둥이 연구 개발되고 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 이슈의 핵심 논점을 '상호운용성을 보장하는 메타데이터(metadata interoperability)'로 파악하고, 이를 기반으로 하여 5가지의 핵심 요소기술을 다음과 같이 정리하였다 - 응용 프로파일, 모델링, 구현, 자원탐색, 포탈 서비스. 본 논문은 이 5가지 핵심 요소기술에 대한 개념, 특성, 사례, 표준화 및 기술적 동향 등을 심도있게 분석하였다.
