Photocatalytic degradation of waste water was performed using semiconductor as rutile-Ti02 and Granite Porphyry. The changes of degradation of the waste waters were investigated by UV-visible spectrophotometric methods. The photocatalytic action of Granite Porhyry was smaller than rutile-TiO₂ because of it contains small percentage of TiO₂. The ratio of photocatalytic degradation reaction increased slowly in according to increasing amounts of Granite Porphyry. More than 50% of the waste water was decomposed after three hours in Granite Porphyry, whereas it was decomposed completely after four hours in rutile-TiO₂.
