Mucoepidermoid carcinomas, first reported by Volkman(1895), form 6% to 9% of all salivary tumors. Two thirds affecting the parotid gland and the remaining third, the minor glands. As we could know from its name, mucoepidermoid carcinomas originate from ductal epithelium including squamous, mucous-secreting, and undifferentiated intermediate cells. Histologically, it is classified as well-differentiated (low grade), moderately-differentiated(intermediate grade), and poorly-differentiated (high grade) types and the treatment method and prognosis are influenced from its histological grade. We have experienced two cases of mucoepidermoid carcinoma treated surgically with good results and now would like to report these with review of literatures.

Much of the industrial and commercial development of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries has been made possible by the corporate mechanism. By its use, investors may combine their capital and participate in the profits of large or small scale business enterprises under a centralized management, with a risk limited to the capital contributed and without peril to their other resources and business. The corporation limits shareholder's liability to the amount of their investments. Especially the limited shareholder liability of corporation's specificities invited separation between ownership and management, and thereby shareholder has elected directors in the meeting of shareholders. Therefore the risk which directors could abuse the right of management and thereby damage to firm and shareholders always exists consequently in the case that damage occurs, a system to protect shareholder's wealth is needed. One of the systems is a shareholder derivative suit. In form, a derivative suit is an action brought on behalf of the corporation by a shareholder. A problem arises, however, when the corporation elects not to pursue the derivative litigation or seeks to dismiss it. The system on which could be set is 'special litigation committee' at this time. Special litigation committee are groups of disinterested' directors assigned the task of deciding whether a shareholder derivative suit is in a corporation's best interest. When a committee seeks to terminate derivative litigation determined not to be in the corporation's best interests, courts are often called upon to reviews the decision. In this article I will examine the business judgment rule both in its traditional role as a defense on the merits to lawsuits challenging board action, and in its current manifestation as a procedural tool to cut off at an early stage those derevative litigations which are not in the best interests of the corporation. And this article maintains that director's decisions to terminate derivative suits must be scrutinized like any other decisions to terminate derivative suits must be scrutinized like any other 'business judgment' by applying Zapata's two step approach or other methods. And in this article I stress that we should separate the breach of duty of care and duty of loyalty, that we must not to ignore the 'Structual Bias'. Finally this article reviews 'special litigation committee' and 'business judgment rule' in our situations.
성과측정 왜곡에 대한 인식 정향성 분석 : 중앙행정기관 공무원들을 중심으로

본 논문은 성과측정 과정에서 피평가자들이 자신들의 이익을 극대화하거나 피해를 최소화하기 위한 전략적 행태인 왜곡현상을 유형화하고 이에 대한 인식수준의 정향성을 탐색적으로 확인하였다. 39개 중앙행정기관 소속 공무원들을 대상으로 한 설문조사 결과, 성과목표를 선정하고 달성하기 위한 성과측정 과정 전반에서 목표달성에 유리 하도록 의도적이고 전략적인 업무행태를 선택하고 있음이 확인되었다. 특히 이러한 왜곡현상은 응답자의 직급 및 근무기간에 따라, 과제의 난이도 및 측정주기에 따라, 그리고 소속기관의 특성 및 업무환경에 따라 차별적으로 나타나고 있었다.

본 연구는 한국 육군 병사들의 군 의료서비스에 대한 의미가 어떠한지를 살펴보는 것이 목적이다. 연구참여자 5명을 대상으로 심층 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 인터뷰 내용은 49개의 의미 단위, 8개의 하위범주, 4개의 범주로 구성되었다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 병사가 국방 임무 수행 중 의료서비스가 필요한 상황이 발생했을 때 적시에 최선의 의료서비스를 받을 수 있다는 신뢰가 형성될 방안과 사례가 제시될 필요성이 나타났다. 둘째, 군 의료서비스에 대한 불충분한 정보제공과 적시에 받지 못한 의료서비스로 감내해야 하는 고통, 미흡한 군 의료서비스의 질 등 과거부터 제시된 군 의료서비스의 문제점은 해결되지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 의료서비스의 수준을 군과 민간으로 구분해야만 하는 안타까운 현실이 나타났다. 넷째, 국방 의무를 수행하는 병사들에게 적절한 의료서비스가 반드시 이루어져야 할 것을 시사하였다. The purpose of this study is to examine the meaning of military medical services of Korean army soldiers. In-depth interviews were conducted with five study participants. The interview content consisted of 49 semantic units, 8 subcategories, and 4 categories. As a result of the study, first, there was a need to present measures and cases to establish trust that soldiers can receive the best medical services in a timely manner when they need medical services while performing defense missions. Second, problems with military medical services presented in the past, such as insufficient information on military medical services, pain to endure with timely medical services, and insufficient quality of military medical services, have not been resolved. Third, there was a sad reality that the level of medical services had to be divided into military and private sectors. Fourth, it was suggested that appropriate medical services must be provided to soldiers who perform national defense obligations.
인삼이 흰쥐의 치상회에서 알코올에 의한 새로운 신경세포 생성 및 nitric oxide synthase 발현에 미치는 영향

목적 : 본 연구에서는 알코올 독성에 대하여 흰쥐의 치상회에서 새로운 신경세포의 생성 및 nitric oxide synthase (NOS) 발현에 인삼이 미치는 영향을 5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine (BrdU) 면역조직화학법 및 nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate-diaphorase (NADPH-d) 조직화학법을 통해서 관찰하고자 한다. 방법 : 실험동물을 정상군, 인삼처치군, 알코올처치군 및 알코올-인삼 처치군으로 분류하여 각각의 실험군에 3일간 BrdU (50mg/kg)를 복강주사하였다. 인삼처치군은 30 mg/kg 용량의 인삼 전탕액을 중완혈에 약침주사하였고, 알코올 처치군은 2 g/kg 용량의 알코올을 투여하였으며, 알코올-인삼 처치군은 2 g/kg 용량의 알코올 및 30mg/kg 용량의 인삼 전탕액을 투여한 후 각각의 BrdU 양성 세포수와 NADPH-d 양성세포수를 관찰하였다. 결과 : 알코올 투여군은 BrdU 양성세포 및 NADPH-d 양성세포 발현이 감소하였으나, 인삼 및 알코올-인삼처치군에서는 알코올 투여군에 비해서 모두 증가하였다.
스포츠와 위버멘쉬(Übermensch) : 스포츠는 어떻게 위버멘쉬를 지향하는가?

Purpose: This study explores how Friedrich Nietzsche’s philosophical concept of the Übermensch can be embodied in the realm of modern sports as a practical cultural space for human formation and selftranscendence. It aims to examine how the concept of the Übermensch transcends being merely a symbolic or idealized figure and evolves into a concrete, actionable philosophy within the context of sports. Method: To achieve this, an interpretive analytical framework was constructed, drawing upon Nietzsche’s primary texts, a review of relevant prior studies, and an analysis of literature in the fields of the philosophy of sport and social physical education. This study focused on three key dimensions of sports: game structure, athletes, and spectators. These dimensions were analyzed to explore how the concept of the Übermensch was realized in each context. Results: The analysis revealed that game structures serve as a space for testing and transcending human limitations. Athletes embody the process of self-overcoming and the sublimation of suffering, while spectators engage in the indirect realization of the Übermensch ideal through emotional identification. These findings demonstrate that sport is not only a physical activity or competitive entertainment, but also a philosophical practice space that promotes ethical growth and existential self-formation. Conclusion: This study contributes to the understanding of sports as a space for human transcendence and self-creation by highlighting how Nietzsche’s concept of the Übermensch can be applied and embodied within the realm of sports. By integrating Nietzschean philosophy with sports practice, this study provides new insights into how sports can serve as a creative training ground for the human spirit, thereby broadening the scope of philosophical and humanistic discourse in sports studies.

목적:천수근은 염증성 관절염과 염증성 장 질환 등에 사용되어왔다. 천수근이 중심회백질 신경세포에서 하행성 진통작용에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 방법: 중심회백질 신경세포를 분리하여 전위고정하에서 nystatin-perforated patch-clamp technique을 시행하였다. 결과: 천수근에 의하여 유발되는 이온전류는 GABA, glycine, 그리고 glutamate 수용체를 모두 활성화시켰다.

The purpose of this study is to identify the depression trajectory of the elderly with disabilities and to analyze the predictors affecting this trajectory. For this analysis, data from the 1st to 3rd (2018-2020) of the Disability and Life Dynamics Panel. In addition, the analysis was conducted focusing on the Linear Model of the Latent Growth Model. As a result of unconditional model analysis of the model, the level of depression in the elderly with disabilities tended to decrease over time. Next, as a result of analyzing the conditional model, it was found that the initial level of depression was significantly influenced by job status, drinking status, self-esteem, and family relationship satisfaction. In addition, self-esteem and family relationship satisfaction were found to have a significant effect on changes in the trajectory of depression. Based on these results, this study suggested the importance of developing a family relationship promotion program to reduce the level of depression in the elderly with disabilities and the importance of reforming the welfare and health support system among policies for the people with disabilities.
Quantum Mechanical Simulation of Charge Distribution in Schottky Barrier MOSFETs

We have performed numerical simulations on Schottky barrier (SB) MOSFETs by solving the twodimensional Poisson equation self-consistently with the Schrodinger equation. We have investigated the equilibrium charge distribution and the conduction energy bending in the inversion layer of the SB-MOSFETs. We have found that the quantum mechanical consideration is crucial for accurate estimation of the current in nano-scale SB-MOSFETs. We have also found that the threshold voltage for channel inversion increases when the channel length becomes shorter than about 30 nm, in contrast to conventional MOSFETs.
